The Industry Engagement and Partnerships (IEP) division under the Office of Deputy President (Research and Technology) is seeking motivated professionals with experience in contracts management.

As part of IEP, this role will be responsible to (i) facilitate the negotiation, review and execution of agreements for research collaborations; and (ii) support research collaborations between NUS/ NUS researchers and external parties, including public sector organisations and industry partners.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Negotiate with external parties on research related agreements including but not limited to non-disclosure agreements, memorandum of agreement, project agreements, clinical trial agreements, framework and master agreements.
• Work with legal counsels, grant management and IP management teams to draft, review and finalise research related agreements.
• Advise and assist NUS researchers on research related matters, IP policies and compliance of internal policies for research contracts.
• Where required or necessary, participate/support initiatives to attract research funding from industries and external stakeholders.
• Assist in the optimisation and customisation of automation process for drafting review and finalisation of research contracts using online systems/tools.
• Provide training and consultation to NUS faculties.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Engineering or Sciences or Life Sciences or Law.
• Able to demonstrate working knowledge in basic drafting, reviewing, negotiating and management of research related agreements.
• Ability to demonstrate understanding of, or have experience in, working with university research, or intellectual property management or protection will be favourably considered.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills to engage and work with the team, researchers and external parties.
• Adaptable and able to multi-task.
• Meticulous individual and highly motivated and independent self-starter with the ability and flexibility to deal complex business, interpersonal, and intra-organizational issues.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and monitoring of intervention trials, with a focus on ensuring compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements.

The Centre for Healthy Longevity (CHL), one of 6 Centres of Excellence of the National University Health System (NUHS), aims to be a leading institute for geroscience research and translation globally, to be renowned for translating research into practice to improve healthspan.

The Healthy Longevity translational research program in the group of prof Andrea Maier is seeking a full-time research fellow to conduct and monitor geroprotective intervention trials with nutritional supplements in middle aged healthy populations. Experience in human clinical research is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform literature reviews on micronutrient levels in middle-aged populations to define the optimal level of micronutrients.
2. Design and develop the protocol for a clinical trial with nutritional supplements in collaboration with principal investigators, data scientists, and other stakeholders.
3. Manage the operational aspects of clinical trials, including participant recruitment, enrollment, monitoring, and data collection.
4. Monitor trial progress, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and study protocols.
5. Develop and implement strategies to maximize participant engagement, retention, and adherence to study protocols in a decentralized setting.
6. Lead the preparation of regulatory submissions, trial reports, and scientific publications.
7. Development and delivery of training materials for site staff and study team members.
8. Identify new research opportunities and grant applications.

Qualifications

1. A PhD or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., nutrition, public health, epidemiology, clinical research).
2. Experience in clinical trials, experience on decentralized trials is preferred but not essential.
3. Strong understanding of GCP guidelines and other relevant regulatory requirements related to clinical trials.
4. Able to work independently, but also enjoying the work with the team members.
5. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Good interpersonal skills with strong leadership attributes.
7. Good understanding of population nutrition especially micronutrient needs is preferred.
8. Desire to move the Geroscience and Healthy Longevity Medicine field forward and contributing to evidence based interventions.
