• Perform research in medical image processing and develop novel approaches to multimodal imaging (2D and 3D) using imaging systems ranging from current clinical systems to novel imaging prototypes.
• Conduct and coordinate research within SNEC/SERI and NTU in line with its research strategy and under the direction and supervision of the Principal Investigators and Collaborators.
• Manage these research projects in a team-based, cross-functional research environment, which include supervising doctoral and master students, research assistants, and technical and other support staff.
• Publish research outcomes in appropriate journals of international standing and to publish and disseminate the result of research and scholarship in other reputable outlets.
• Attend and present research findings and papers at academic and professional conferences, and to contribute to the external visibility of the department.
• Draft research report for Principal Investigators.
• Undertake specific roles and management functions as may be reasonably required by the Principal Investigators.
• Attend meetings and to participate (where necessary) in other committees and working groups within SNEC/SERI and NTU.

The Associate / Research Coordinator shall assist the Principal Investigator with collection of clinical data and data management for lymphoma research. They will also help implement and coordinate research projects and its activities. These activities may include screening, recruitment, incident event reporting, data entry, biological specimen collection and processing, maintenance of site files and research participants’ follow up.

Your responsibilites will include:

The Laboratory of Applied Human Genetics at the National Cancer Centre Singapore is a multi-disciplinary laboratory with specific focus on peritoneal malignancies and sarcoma. The direction of our laboratory is to solve real world clinical problems via sound scientific translation. Since the conception of our laboratory 7 years ago, we have now set up three scientific pillars of Therapeutics, Companion Diagnostic and CAPTIVATE (Target Generation) pipeline. Currently, we are working towards a first-in-human therapeutic developed in our laboratory. We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Fellow to work with a team of researchers in the area of cancer therapy for advanced metastatic cancers. Interested applicants should have an extensive molecular biology experience to uncover the MOA/structure of our therapeutic using cellular signaling, cell biology or protein structure approaches and possess the desire to translate basic science to make a clinical impact. Previous work with genomic / CRISPR / proteomic screens (or similar) to understand the molecular biology of key oncogenic drivers will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

- Establish bioassays for in-house screening pipelines to develop new therapeutics.

- Design complex experiments required for the projects.

- Drive and provide directions of ongoing projects.

- Contribute to grant writing, manuscript preparation and other dissemination activities such as presentations at local and international meetings.

Job Requirements:

- PhD in relevant areas of structural biochemistry, cancer biology, computational biology, pharmacology etc.

- Extensive knowledge in drug development (e.g. target selection, generation of new molecule and structural biochemistry) and deciphering MOA via cellular signaling and cell biology approaches will be an added advantage.

- Candidate experienced in drug design computational software and in-silico 3D remodeling for drug development will be advantageous.

- Prior experience in biotech industries related to drug discovery and development will be preferred.

The Centre for Population Health Research and Implementation (CPHRI) is a centralised platform for population health research, innovation, implementation and evaluation activities in SingHealth. The SingHealth Centre for Population Health Research and Implementation (CPHRI) is the nexus for population health research, innovation, implementation science and evaluation in SingHealth. You will assist the Principal Investigator to perform a variety of functions such assisting in developing study plans and conducting literature reviews. The National University Health System Virtual Care Centre (NUHS VCC) is an initiative where trained personnel provides tele-triage to patients and/or their caregivers. VCC will either provide advice and resolve the clinical question or escalate to the VCC clinician where appropriate.
