The Laboratory of Virus Evolution (LoVE) studies rapidly evolving respiratory RNA viruses including influenza, parainfluenza and coronaviruses. Our research helps to understand the molecular drivers of virus evolution and population dynamics, and their influence on virulence and pathogenicity.

The candidate is expected to play a critical role in generating and fostering a cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research environment. The candidate should possess a strong background in molecular virology and/or immunology, and will utilize metagenomics sequencing and virologic techniques to understand the evolutionary dynamics of different RNA viruses. Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in biological sciences, chemistry or related field
• At least 5 years academic or industrial experience in biology or chemistry laboratories as a technician or research officer.
• Experience with inventory management of samples or compounds, database software.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, demonstrated ability in establishing and managing research partnerships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
