The Signature Research Programme in Neuroscience and Behavioural Disorders (NBD) is focused on understanding the structure and function of the nervous system, and the neural mechanisms underlying human neurological, psychiatric and ophthalmological disorders. The team aims to illuminate the mechanisms of human cortical circuit wiring and dysfunction. The ultimate aim is to use this knowledge to help design new treatment strategies for both neurodegenerative (e.g. dementia) and neuropsychiatric conditions (e.g. autism), and to enhance the brain regenerative potential.

The group uses a multidisciplinary approach at the interface between neuroscience (live imaging, neuroanatomy, electrophysiology, optogenetics, organotypic cultures), genetics (snRNAseq), human stem cell and tissue biology (human iPSC-derived neurons transplanted in the mouse brain) and high-resolution optical imaging (structural and functional multiphoton microscopy).

The selected candidate will perform a variety of research activities under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), including but not limited to the following: -

• Provide laboratory operational assistance to the PI, i.e., day-to-day coordination and running of the laboratory including supervisory responsibilities for laboratory staff and students.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Supporting the sales team by responding to technical questions from prospective customers.
• Manage and support projects for Business Development of the company.
• Presenting, promoting and selling products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
• Performing cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
• Establishing, developing, and maintaining positive business and customer relationships.
• Expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
• Analysing the territory/market’s potential, tracking sales and status reports.
• Keeping abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
• Assisting in sales forecasting and inventory forecasting.
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.

As a Sales Executive, you need to:

• Possess a minimum diploma in Business or any relevant field.
• Have a minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience in Sales.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Mandarin to cater to our customer demographics.
• Be enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service.

In this role, you will be reporting to a Commercial Director to:

• Acquire new partners/clients and manage relationships with designers and design agencies in Singapore.
• Understand and address the needs of both new and existing clients to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain profitable partnerships with external stakeholders while monitoring commercial performance using key metrics.
• Present monthly performance reports and upcoming opportunities to Upper Management at HQ, and implement commercial strategies for net profit growth.

• Experience with project sales management/account management/business development for the Singapore or regional design space
• Experience working with design agencies/firms/projects/distributors to be in a position to pitch the luxury products for commercial or hospitality projects

Requirements:
