Summary
In this role, you will be overseeing financial operations, budgeting, and financial planning for IT projects and initiatives to ensure IT expenditures are align with the organization's strategic goals and financial objectives. Collaborating closely with various stakeholders such as IT Solution Delivery, IT Infrastructure & Applications Operations, IT Financial Systems & Corp Apps, Project Management Office, and Head Office Governance teams.

Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with IT functional teams to create and manage the IT budget, including forecasting expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Partner with IT functional teams in preparation of business case for proposed IT initiatives and projects focusing on IT value creations, outlining the financial benefits, insights and potential risk to facilitate decision-making and support IT strategy development
- Partner with Finance on IT asset management, including tracking and reporting on hardware and software assets, ensuring optimal utilization, and managing the list of IT assets
- Assess and provide financial risks feedback relating to IT projects, investments, and operational expenses to mitigate financial risks and ensure financial stability for IT spending across Asia Pacific
- Monitor IT expenses, identify areas of cost overruns, and proposing cost optimization strategies in partnership with IT functional heads while optimizing the effectiveness of IT services
- Harmonize within IT, Finance, Tax and Legal stakeholders on intercompany charging mechanisms, ensuring equitable cost allocation and compliance within the operating guidelines as defined
- Generate financial reports and dashboards related to IT expenditures, variances, and performance metrics accurately while providing transparency and accountability for IT spending towards IT management
- Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the budgeting and financial reporting processes through process streamlining and automation where applicable
- Actively participate in the IT governance process to ensure IT investments are aligned with the organization's overall strategy and provide a strong return on investment
- Collaborate with procurement and IT teams to manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate vendor proposals
- Establish financial governance frameworks for IT spending, including approval processes and financial controls to maintain fiscal discipline while adhering towards accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Establish Financial Modeling and Scenario Analysis to evaluate different scenarios and assess their potential impact across Asia Pacific
- Introduce financial training and guidance to IT staff and other non-financial stakeholders to enhance their understanding of IT finances and foster better financial management practices

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related quantitative field. Other relevant professional certifications (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CFA) can be advantageous.
- At least 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role as a Business Partner or Finance Manager for an IT department, preferably in a large organization
- Strong business acumen with deep understanding of business processes, operations, and strategic goals and experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) is essential
- Familiar with financial regulations, compliance requirements, and reporting standards across Asia Pacific
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as enterprise resource planning (SAP ERP) systems, financial planning software, and other applications
- Knowledge/experience in the Shipping/logistics industry will be advantageous
