Sales Executive (Shipping Industry)

Responsibilities

- To source for new business by making sales calls, visiting customers & servicing new and existing clients

- To manage existing key accounts

- Swift response to customers, shipment enquiries & freight quotations

- Responsible for maintaining and developing new business with existing customers

- Procurement of rates from overseas offices, agents and approved local vendors

- Preparation of quotations for customers

- Achieving sales target KPI

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To learn the use of the organization’s PCO/Membership application

1. Advocacy: Advocates for PCO/Membership application use and champion its benefits (workflow improvement, efficiency and improved outcomes), features, and advantages to both management and end users.

2. User Support & Trouble-shooting: Provide hands-on support to end users. Assist users in understanding and using the PCO/Membership application, responding to queries, resolving issues, helping with troubleshooting, and escalating complex issues to PCO/Membership developer when necessary.

3. Training & Documentation: Develop and deliver training programs (workshops, tutorials, one-on-one sessions) or materials (creation of user-guides, FAQ) for user proficiency.

4. Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from users regarding their experiences with the application. Collect suggestions, feature requests, and any concerns that users may have and relay this feedback to the PCO/Membership technical/ development team.

5. Change Management: Help manage the process of transitioning to a new application or adopting changes and updates to the existing application. This includes engaging stakeholders, communication, managing expectations, and addressing user resistance.

6. Data Management, Data Quality and Standards: Responsible for developing the data management policy, system configuration, housekeeping of data, merging of profiles and duplicates, deletion of unrequired data, and enforcing data quality and consistency (data entry and checks).

7. Monitoring and Reporting: Keep track of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the application's usage and success and regularly reporting on these metrics to management and stakeholders to measure the application's impact.

8. Customization and Configuration: Depending on the PCO/Membership flexibility, help tailor the software to meet specific departmental or organizational needs (with PCO/Membership developer USA), ensuring that it aligns with user requirements.

9.Evaluation and Feedback Loop: Participate in reviews and evaluations to assess the PCO/Membership’s impact, gather lessons learned, and recommend improvements.

10. Carry out additional responsibilities when assigned by immediate supervisor and/or pastors in Barker Road Methodist Church

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in Computer / Information Communications Technology

• 3 - 4 years of relevant experience in IT Administration, Database Administration, End-User Support
• Proficient in Membership Software applications

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain compliance processes and policies in accordance with MAS Payment Services Act regulations for MPI/SPI.

• Address risk management concerns by identifying and minimizing potential money laundering risks through the development of new policies, procedures, and programs.

• Manage transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting, and conduct periodic Customer Due Diligence (CDD)/Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews.

• Supervise compliance functions, including Regulatory, Advisory, Transaction Monitoring, and KYC.

• Establish and execute periodic internal compliance reviews to ensure adherence to Singapore regulations.

• Serve as the primary contact for Compliance/AML-related matters, acting as the main liaison with regulators and authorities.

• Facilitate the handling of whistleblowing incidents within the company.

• Provide periodic reports to Senior Management Committee and the Board on compliance reviews, risk assessments, and necessary remedial actions.

• Disseminate regulatory updates and conduct periodic training programs for Compliance Officers and new hires.

• Legal Contracts: Draft, manage, and negotiate diverse commercial agreements, ensuring compliance with local laws. Collaborate on risk assessments, providing practical mitigation strategies. Regularly update contract templates to enhance transaction efficiency while ensuring compliance.

• Regional Legal Involvement: Participate in regional legal, compliance, and risk initiatives and projects as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, legal, or a related field, preferably in the financial services sector.

• Experience dealing with regulatory authorities and a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements, particularly in Singapore ( eg. MAS Payment Services Act).

• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.

• Strong understanding of the financial industry and associated risks.

• Strong analytical skills for risk identification, measurement, and management.

• Excellent legal drafting and contract negotiation skills.

• Applicants with formal AML/CFT compliance accreditations (e.g., ACAMS, IBF accreditations) will have an advantage.
