Position title : Sales Engineer

• Location: Loyang Industrial Estate
• Working Days: Mon - Fri (830 a.m. to 530p.m.)
• Salary : $3,000 - $4,500 (depends experience)

Requirements

• Possesed Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred or related technical field, Minimum Diploma in related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales engineering role, preferably within the equipment sales and service industry.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of vacuum pump technology or other technical equipment. Proficiency in technical sales and solution design.
• Sales Skills: Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing customer relationships.
• Travel: Required to support regional customers in Southeast Asia (30-40%).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Conduct needs assessments to understand customer requirements and challenges.
• Provide technical consultation to customers, offering solutions that align with their operational goals.

2. Sales Support:

• Scout, develop and obtain leads with new customers to develop sales in your assigned territory.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
• Develop detailed quotes and proposals, addressing customer needs and specifying technical requirements.

3. Service Support:

• Liaise with customers, end-users and purchasers to introduce the company’s service capabilities.
• Drive the sales of services to existing and new customers with equipment sold by the company.
• Coordinate with the engineering and service teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
• Act as a point of contact for post-sales support, troubleshooting and sales of service.

4. Market and Product Knowledge:

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
• Continuously enhance product knowledge and understand advancements in equipment and service offerings.
• Share insights, feedback and customer requirements with the product development and marketing teams to drive innovation.
• Participate in all company-participated trade shows and seminars in Singapore and abroad.

5. Training and Support:

• Educate customers on equipment features, benefits, and maintenance requirements.
• Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams to ensure proper usage and understanding of products.
• Assist management with any other ad-hoc tasks and duties as and where required.

About the Role:

The Sales Operations Business Partner will own Confluent’s sales processes and work closely with the AVP(s) / RSD(s) of Sales to help manage the team's selling efforts. The Sales Ops Business Partner’s primary responsibilities will be to provide data and analytical support to manage and improve Confluent’s sales processes and cycle, as well as utilizing pipeline data to help report, analyze and forecast the company’s current quarter’s business.

What You Will Do:

• Be responsible for accurate forecasting and pipeline analytics as well as reporting and analysis of sales results (including system dashboards)
• Work with the AVP of Sales, RSD's and Finance to refine go-to-market models and sales methodology, including identifying and solving pain points within the organization and sales process proactively
• Identify issues and solutions to improve the efficiency of the sales force participate in weekly, quarterly and annual sales planning by preparing and supporting the delivery of specific sales coverage and forecasting analytics
• Lead efforts to standardize processes and systems (e.g. Salesforce.com) to enable accurate and efficient data collection and management of the company’s sales efforts
• Partner with the Sales leaders to facilitate our global sales territory planning, by creating and allocating territories as the sales team grows
• Own communication to the field and maintain calendar of communications from a global to sub-region standpoint as well as sales process adoption
• Collaborate across all business units and functions (Finance, Compensation, AE’s, Data Science, BD, Field Marketing, etc.)
• Work closely with other Sales Operations team members to share knowledge, best practices and facilitate standardization across the whole sales organization

What You Will Bring:

• BA/BS degree preferred
• At least 5+ years of Sales Operations experience preferably in a SaaS/Cloud company
• Advanced excel skills required
• Comfortable engaging at all levels in an organization to deliver results
• Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey ideas and information in written and verbal form to a variety of audiences
• Endless curiosity and a need to dive deeper for understanding
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and display diplomatic and remarkable interpersonal skills with colleagues and other partners
