Trusted Advisor

• Provides Account thought leadership inclusive of information technology (IT), business strategy knowledge, and technology landscape, and shares best practices internally while providing coaching to subsidiary resources. Leverages account thought leadership in partnership with account executives to set strategy, own accountability for outcomes, and lead extended teams. Provides technical guidance to internal teams to position technology while using customer landscape knowledge. Creates connections and feedback loops with Product and Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Sales Manager, Team Lead, your main responsibilities are to increase MSC's market presence by canvasing cargoes for specified export trade lanes to achieve target lifting, respond to request for quotations from customers and / or prospects, as well as maintain customer relationships. Your key responsibilities include:

• Develop new clienteles / cargo bookings through referrals, newspaper, magazines, MSC's network and telemarketing;
• Achieve close level of support with client through daily contact, regular visit and entertainment i.e lunch, dinner, etc, to secure business;
• Track destination ports controlled shipments, to obtain full details from shipper (i.e full style address, commodity, rates if any) and send as sales leads to respective Port of Discharge to secure business;
• Ensure customers know the whereabouts of shipment through MSC Internet shipment tracking and tracing system;
• Attend to customer's complaint and co-ordinate with internal departments (Documentation, Operation, Finance and Cargo Flow Management) to resolve any issues and uphold our service commitment to customers.
