The Memory Aging & Cognition Centre (MACC) is a Research Center within the National University Health System funded by the Singapore National Medical Research Council that focuses on the study of dementia and cognitive impairment in the elderly. The MACC currently has 4 research themes on (i) neurochemistry, molecular pathology and biomarker discovery, (ii) neuroimaging, (iii) clinical assessment and (iv) epidemiology.

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our team at the MACC. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the daily operations and maintenance of the laboratory, as well as the handling of samples obtained from human or animal studies. The successful candidate will also have opportunities to work on various laboratory testing/techniques and contribute to the team's research effort in neurochemistry and blood biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease and vascular cognitive impairment.

The Coastal Protection and Flood Resilience Institute (CFI) Singapore is actively seeking a Research Engineer to contribute to a groundbreaking research project. This research explores the efficacy of integrated nature-based solutions in sediment erosional control and coastal protection. The goal is to develop innovative, physically based models that quantify the protective benefits a vegetation meadow can offer to shorelines.

The Research Engineer will participate in experimental research, with a specific focus on studying sediment flux in hybrid solutions to coastal protection. Optimizing the performance of health systems is essential to ensuring the wellbeing and longevity of populations worldwide. Singapore is particularly well placed to lead research in this field as its health system has been consistently ranked as one of the best in the world based in independent evaluation with the Global Burden of Disease data. The new Centre for Research in Health Systems Performance (CRiHSP) aims to advance research in this area within the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine of the National University of Singapore (NUS) as the leading centre for research in health systems in Asia with the following core functions:

1. Research: empirical and methodological research and evidence synthesis on health systems performance with a particular focus on Value Based Healthcare.
2. Health policy intelligence: health policy impact analysis aimed at policy makers, service providers, researchers, and the wider public.
3. Capacity building: formal postgraduate programme (from certificates to PhD), fellowships, mentoring, on-the- job and ad hoc training
4. Contributing to improving NUHS performance: expert advice on the development, implementation, and evaluation of flagship initiatives (including Healthier SG) aimed at making step changes in NUHS performance, and programme evaluation

The multidisciplinary team of researchers in health systems (health services and policy researchers, data scientists, social scientists, and others), and administrators working in CRiHSP will provide an exciting and dynamic place in which people of diverse backgrounds collaborate towards the common goal of achieving excellence in Health Systems Research. Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Associate will have the following duties:

• Contribution to the management of research activities including grant and IRB/DSRB applications, budgeting, planning and monitoring project timelines and generally support project management and coordination and liasing with internal and external stakeholders
• Conduct literature reviews, including collation and synthesis of the literature
• Support the design and interpretation of quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews and focus groups and collected data
