A research fellow position is available in the DNA and RNA Editing (DaRE) Laboratory at the School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) in NTU. The laboratory, led by Assoc Prof Tan Meng How, works on developing and applying cutting edge biotechnologies, including high throughput next generation (NGS) sequencing, CRISPR-Cas, and deep learning methodologies to read, write, and decipher the genome and transcriptome of living cells. The research fellow will be involved in efforts to develop and/or apply new tools and methodologies to push the boundaries of genomics and synthetic biology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and/or apply new genome and transcriptome engineering technologies

Simulation Scientist:

We are looking for a simulation expert who will be part of the team developing a next-generation mobility simulation platform using an agent-based modelling approach. The platform is envisioned to be integrated with other modelling & simulation systems under a digital twin strategy. The responsibilities may include any of the following:

• Develop simulation modules for the agent-based simulator.
• Design and implement simulation scenarios.
• Develop behavioural rules for the simulation agents.
• Implement real-world dynamics including physical motion laws, power-flow, scheduling, and operational constraints as needed.

• Optimise the performance of the simulation.

Education and experience requirements:
