Overall Job Purpose

To ensure that operations of the assigned vessels is maintained safely and economically in accordance with the OSM Thome, and owners’ commercial requirements; and that all essential support is extended to the vessel for the purpose, and for addressing emergencies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Daily Operations

• Responsible for implementing and maintaining a safe, cost-effective and environmentally sound operation standard in compliance with OSM Thome as well as International Marine regulations for a given number of vessels.

• To manage the daily operation of the number of vessels assigned to him in accordance with OSM Thome & Best Practice.

• Advise Masters/Chief Engineers and Ship Staff on

· Cargo & tank/hold

• Follow up class and statutory certification status, condition of class and arrange for the necessary surveys and inspections (flag state, certification for Panama Canal etc.)

• Liaise with Principals regarding Vessel safe operations.

Shipboard inspections

• Visit vessels regularly (at least three times a year, including a short sailing visit). On each visit, a Superintendent Visit Report is to be completed and left onboard. Following inspections needs to be conducted during these inspections

• Prepare a Vessel Visit Executive Summary for each Shipboard attendance

• All Audit & Inspection Reports need to be filed/updated in Common drives or Database as applicable. Follow up with vessels/office to close the deficiencies noted during these visits.

• Prepare weekly, monthly, bi-annual, quarterly management

Oil Major/CDI & Other Commercial Inspections

• Assist in coordinating, arranging and timely follow up Oil Major Vetting Inspections as directed.

• Assist in arranging external safety audits and onboard training by co-coordinating with the appointed audit or training company.

• Follow up on closure of deficiencies noted during inspections.

• Incident / Accident / Crisis Management & investigation

• Member of Emergency Response Team.

• Conducts investigation and root cause analysis of Incidents, Accidents, and Near Miss & Stopper Cards.

• Review Corrective Actions, Preventive Actions and Recommendations from investigation and analysis of accidents, marine casualties and near misses.

• Assist and participate in tabletop exercises and emergency drills.

Port, Flag State Inspections & Other Statutory Audits (ISM/ISPS)

• Assist in coordinating and timely follow up Flag State Inspection, External & Internal ISM, ISPS and MLC Audits as directed.

• Support vessels during Port State Inspections and follow up on prompt closure of noted deficiencies as required.

• Follow up, review, approval and submission of the corrective active plan/report to authorities as required.

HSSEQ

• Assisting Vessels for documenting / conducting Risk Assessments. Evaluation and

• Monitoring.

• Evaluate & document Off- Hire records (Planned as well as unplanned).

• Stores Supply & Budget Planning.

• Maintain strict cost control of the Annual Operating Budget for each of the assigned vessels.

• Review monthly cost control and approve monthly financial reports before sending to Fleet Group Manager for review.

• Assimilate input from the assigned vessels as well as other relevant departments and prepare each vessel’s Annual Operating Budget.

• Monitor the requisitions generated from the vessel to ensure that they are submitted in a timely manner. Follow up with the Purchasing Department for delivery of ordered items on board.

• Approve invoices for payment.

• Liaise with the Insurance Manager (or Principals) in H&M claims handling. Provide technical input, and cost information, if required, for P&I claims (cargo and crew) and H&M claims.

Crewing

• Make performance evaluations of Masters/ Chief Engineers assigned to the vessel under supervision.

• Provide input to the Manning Department on recruitment of Senior Officers for the assigned vessels.

Dry Docking & Repairs

• Plan, manage, monitor and execute vessels repairs, dry dockings and conversions within agreed budgets.

• Arrange and follow up repairs and services.

• Coordinate with the assigned vessels and prepare the dry-docking specification in conjunction with Docking Superintendent, Fleet Services. Submit the specification to yards for quotations, evaluate the received quotations and present them to the Fleet Group Manager and/or Chief Operating Officer for review.

• Attend the dry-docking, discuss shipyard invoicing before presenting same to the Fleet Group Manager and/or Chief Operating Officer for approval.

• Prepare docking report

About the Role

The Portfolio Finance Manager plays a key role in finance related matters for PIDG and InfraCo companies in Asia, including its subsidiaries and joint ventures. The candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, in ensuring the completion and accuracy of financial reporting related to day-to-day operations and investment projects, and compliance with the local tax/audit regulatory requirements.

The role will contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the business.

Main Responsibilities

Accounting & Tax:

• Subsidiaries’ Financial Review – Ensure timely and accurate preparation of subsidiaries’ audited financial statements, management accounts and financial reports, and review accounting procedures as necessary.
• Monthly and Quarterly Closing – Review and assist in monthly and quarterly closing of PIDG and InfraCo Asia subsidiaries’ accounts, working closely with outsourced accounting service provider and local project accountants.
• Tax Planning & Compliance – Ensure that PIDG and InfraCo Asia and all related entities are tax compliant. Provide oversight on tax planning, filing and review of assigned entities, and work with external advisors as required.

Assist with the review of various agreements to be entered into by the company (e.g. joint development agreement, loan agreement, shareholders’ agreement etc.) from a finance and commercial perspective, and ensure investment/divestment transactions are properly recorded in accounts.
• Company, Project Accounting & Audit – Liaise with internal team, outsourced and project companies’ accountants, tax service providers and auditors for finance related matters for PIDG and InfraCo Asia group entities incorporated in various mandated countries in Asia.
• Group Consolidation, Audit and Statutory Filing – Assist Finance Manager in charge of group accounts on preparation of group consolidation, financial statements and annual filings for the PIDG and InfraCo Asia group. Assist with the completion of the year-end audit process within PIDG and statutory deadlines with auditors.
• Due Diligence – To lead, perform and share best practices on internal financial due diligence for new investments as and when required. Work with external advisors on tax and commercial due diligence for project investments and divestments and provide support as and when required to the deal team.
• Valuation – Review business valuation models for new project investments and quarterly/annual fair valuation exercises for existing investments as prepared by business leads/project company teams; challenge business and valuation assumptions used in discounted cashflow models (e.g. Forecast, WACC, IRR etc.). To lead and manage auditors’ review of fair valuation during year end audit while working closely with business leads and other finance team members.
• Outsourced Provider Management – Manage outsourced accounting and tax service providers and auditors for Singapore incorporated companies under InfraCo Asia.
• Recharges and Cost Allocation – Support the calculation and basis of recharges and cost allocation to project companies as required.

Oversight of Project Companies - Management & Financial Reporting:

• Project Financial Review – Assist to review project financial reports prepared by the business team/project company teams and provide analysis of expenditure against approved budgets.
• Financial Information – Respond to ad hoc requests for financial information and analysis as required by senior management and shareholders/PIDG.
• Continuous Improvement – Suggest improvements and support the implementation of changes to the monitoring and reporting process. To work with business teams to set up financial and operational dashboards customized for projects/investments to better track investment returns against approved targets.
• Entity Setup/Closure – Work closely with internal/project company teams on the set up/closure of entities for new investments undertaken and projects divested respectively.

Business Plan, Budgeting & Forecast - Group & Project Companies:

• Business/Operating Planning – Support the preparation of Business Plan and Annual Operating Plan for the organization and assist Senior Management as required.
• Budgets & Reporting – Review investment proposals and project budgets. Liaise with investment management team/project company teams in relation to annual budgeting, year to date spending and forecasts, quarterly reporting and various finance related matters.
• Forecast & Cash Flow Management – Regularly monitor and forecast company and project cash flow for monthly and quarterly reporting purposes and to highlight on cash flow risks. Review company payments and expense claims as needed in compliance with company policies and procedures. Manage payments in relation to capital calls for investments by InfraCo Asia in accordance with shareholder/ investment agreements.

Audit and Internal Controls:

• Annual Audit Review – Manage annual audit process within PIDG and InfraCo Asia and liaise with external auditors. Monitor financial compliance by projects and support local project finance team on the coordinating/performing of potential audits/internal reviews and other financial matters as required.
• Committee Support – Support the Head of Finance/Finance Manager in reporting to the Audit / Investment Committee and Risk Management Committee or Board, including organizing meetings, preparing papers and minutes.
• Policy development – Support the implementation and documentation of internal controls and procedures for PIDG and InfraCo Asia as required.
• Internal Controls –Perform in-country on-site or off-site/desktop internal control reviews, including documentation of procedures, to make sure the control process is compliant with company and shareholders requirements, and work with business team/project company teams to ensure effective controls are implemented, including managing PIDG and InfraCo Asia’s banking activities.

Payments:

• Payments – Prepare, review and process company payments and expense claims in compliance with company policies and procedures. Manage payments to consultant/vendors in accordance with relevant consultancy services agreements.
• Banking – Support banking related matters for PIDG and InfraCo Asia e.g. opening of bank accounts, changes in bank signatories and approvers or KYC documentation of PIDG and InfraCo Asia entities when required.

Corporate Support:

• Corporate Information – Work closely with the corporate secretarial team to maintain and monitor corporate information including Group structure, directorships, shareholding etc. Maintain data/information as required for disclosure/compliance purposes.
• Company Initiatives – Support assessment and implementation of new initiatives/changes undertaken by the team and the Company.
• PIDG and InfraCo Asia Ambassador – Act in all circumstances as an ambassador of PIDG and InfraCo Asia, displaying and demonstrating the highest ethical and moral standards, while effectively managing and controlling budgets and expenditure in accordance with the PIDG and InfraCo Asia policies and procedures.

Qualifications and education requirements

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant field from a reputable university/credible organization.

Skills and Experience

• At least 8 years of hands-on work experience in relevant finance role (preferably with around 3-4 years in a Big Four accounting firm) in a dynamic and fast paced multinational environment with exposure in the Asia region essential.
• Prior exposure in a finance business partner or advisory role for corporate related investment projects either in a leading or review role e.g. financial and tax due diligence and financial modelling will be highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in IFRS with exposure to consolidation or investment accounting dealing with overseas entities.

What You’ll Do

• Cultivate and nurture strong, trust-driven relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including esteemed senior leadership figures, fostering a culture of client satisfaction, adoption, and loyalty
• Champion the client’s cause within Thredd, skilfully managing their expectations while expertly balancing Thredd’s objectives with their individual needs, ensuring a harmonious partnership
• Propel revenue growth to new heights, striving to not only meet but surpass individual sales targets by uncovering lucrative cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
• Conduct dynamic Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), keeping clients abreast of cutting-edge platform enhancements, product innovations, and service advancements while pinpointing potential avenues for collaboration
• Dive deep into clients’ product strategies and geographic aspirations, collaborating seamlessly with Thredd’s Solutions Design Consultant to amplify the client experience
• Act as the go-to resource for addressing clients’ commercial needs, employing strategic thinking to capitalize on individual opportunities and overall contractual positions, resulting in increased revenue streams for Thredd
• Revolutionize existing processes to drive peak performance, from refining Account Development Plans (ADPs) to enhancing pipeline management, deal qualification, and comprehensive reporting mechanisms
• Foster seamless collaboration with the Customer Care team, empowering them to deliver swift resolutions while maintaining a vigilant eye over operational queries and concerns
• Forge a close-knit partnership with the Product team, gaining invaluable insights into development requirements essential for supporting clients’ ambitious expansion endeavours
• Support Credit Controller to maintain a current accounts receivable status
• Elevate Thredd's market presence by actively participating in case studies, PR initiatives, and leading industry events, amplifying our brand visibility and credibility
• Keep a finger on the pulse of the ever-evolving payments landscape through proactive research and insightful readings, sharing newfound knowledge with the AM team to stay ahead of the curve

What You’ll Need

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), corporate clients, or retail banking clients (depending on role focus).
  Act as the primary contact for clients, providing them with tailored banking solutions and products to meet their financial needs.
  Proactively identify new business opportunities and grow the client portfolio through referrals, networking, and cross-selling of bank products.
  
• Financial Advisory & Product Offering:Provide clients with advice on a range of financial products including savings accounts, loans, investment products, and insurance solutions.
  Identify client goals and create personalized financial plans to help them achieve their objectives.
  Keep clients informed of market trends and changes in financial regulations that may impact their investment decisions.
  
• Portfolio Management:Monitor client portfolios regularly and conduct reviews to ensure optimal performance and alignment with client objectives.
  Analyze financial data to offer customized product offerings and credit solutions that address client needs.
  Manage risk by ensuring all financial advice and product recommendations are in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  
• Sales & Business Development:Achieve and exceed individual sales targets through client acquisition and retention strategies.
  Identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling banking products such as personal loans, mortgages, deposits, and wealth management solutions.
  Work closely with internal teams (e.g., credit, compliance, investment) to deliver seamless client experiences.
  
• Customer Service & Support:Provide exceptional service by responding promptly to client inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
  Ensure client satisfaction through regular follow-up and maintaining high service standards.
  Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for the client’s banking needs.
  
• Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure all transactions and interactions comply with relevant banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
  Conduct proper due diligence and know-your-client (KYC) assessments to manage credit risks and client suitability for products.
  Stay informed about regulatory changes that may impact client relationships or banking processes.
  

Requirements:

• Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Relationship Manager, Wealth Manager, or in a similar client-facing role in banking.
• Strong knowledge of banking products, financial services, and wealth management solutions.
• Proven track record in sales and business development with the ability to meet and exceed targets.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and prioritize effectively.
• Familiarity with compliance regulations, KYC processes, and risk management in banking.
• Proficiency in using banking CRM and financial analysis tools.
