The Area Sales Manager - APAC is responsible for the sales of our core software solutions including Charts, Publications, Digital Products, Update Services and associated OneOcean Business services to customers within an allocated region.

Working with the APAC Sales Team to take ownership of the whole sales process from prospect identification, through qualification, presentation, proposals, negotiation and finally closing the sale. Post sales activities to ensure that levels of service are maintained and that opportunities for upselling are exploited.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Here’s what your day-to-day will look like in this role:

• Identify new customers and prioritise allocated key market areas
• Meet and exceed targets set out in bonus scheme for allocated areas
• Key account management for Sales
• Negotiate and agree contracts on behalf of OneOcean
• Understand customer requirements and advise on customised services
• To work closely with the customer and take responsibility for customer retention.

• Plan and execute sales activities in conjunction with the SVP APAC
• Input data into the SFDC CRM system to feed the sales forecast
• Use the SFDC CRM system to provide information on opportunities and customer meetings ensuring that all visits are properly recorded, and customer concerns are proactively dealt with.
• Use the software tools supplied to prepare quotations for new customers
• Make presentations to both customers and internal departments
• Provide and maintain data to support the Marketing Databases
• Analyse and review Sales trends for each customer including churn risk. Quarterly analysis to be discussed with the SVP APAC.
• Maintain continuous awareness of OneOcean products and services
• Keep Customers fully informed regarding new product launches and product enhancements
• To become a product expert in terms of digital products, solutions and value add
• Provide input for Product Development and new Product design
• Maintain continuous awareness of competitor services
• Attend conferences and exhibitions, meeting with customers and agents. Speaking slots at key conferences, to talk about OneOcean services might be required.
• Provide support and input for marketing activities such as new brochures, mail shots, exhibitions etc.
• Travel within the APAC region and other countries as required and is considered a basic requirement for this role. Requests to travel could be made at short notice.

As part of IME’s Photonics & Sensors Department, the candidate will take lead of the development of various testing capability for advanced photonics, including but not limited to chip-level and wafer-level testing of optical devices and electro-optical devices at high RF frequencies, as well as the testing of electro-optical sub-modules and sub-systems. You will work closely with an excellent multidisciplinary team working on advanced photonics.

Responsibilities:

• Develop various photonics testing capabilities for both chips and wafers, including design and building of measurement setups
• Perform chip-scale and wafer-scale data collection for OE, EO and OO devices from frequency range of 0 to 110 GHz
• Optimize data acquisition and analysis process to improve test efficiency, e.g. automation of measurement processes for wafer-scale testing and corner analysis
• Manage photonics laboratory including facilities, health and safety, equipment calibration, inventory and stocktake
• Take the lead to procure laboratory equipment and consumables
• Prepare technical presentations and papers for internal meetings, as well as conferences and journals
• Collaborate with project team to ensure quality and on-time delivery for various projects
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physics, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Opto-electronics or equivalent
• More than 5 years hands-on experience in active photonics/optoelectronic device testing, especially for high-speed optical modulator and photodetector devices and electronic-photonic integrated circuit.
• More than 5 years hands-on experiences in optical setup construction and semiconductor & optoelectronic device characterization
• Experienced on experimental data acquisition and analysis
• Skillsets in programming or instrument automation is a plus
• Strong skills in problem-solving, communication and providing technical presentations
• Industry experience and awareness is a plus

As the Research Engineer (Equipment/Operations), you are directly involved in tool installation activities for semiconductor process tools. You would need to work proactively to coordinate with the contractor on the ground for the execution and take corrective and preventive actions of lessons learned, due diligently to prevent reoccurrence. You are responsible for performing utilities turn-on after installation is completed. You must perform the activities per ASTAR site procedure and safety policies to ensure all tool-install-related activities are completed, meeting safety, quality, schedule and budget requirements. The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for all cost and contractual issues on Main contract as well as Sub-contracts connected to the project.

A summary of the responsibilities for this position is, and not limited to, as follows:

• Preparation of Monthly Progress claims, variation orders and payments to subcontractors
• Involve in managing and reporting of project budget & cost control
• Responsible in Post-Contracts administration for both the Main Contract and Subcontracts

Role Purpose:

To perform independently all aspects of Quality activities for the assigned area/discipline which include stage quality control and inspection, receiving inspection and material/equipment verification, reviewing and approving of tests and ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented address quality gaps/lapses. Monitoring and Prevention of Incidents - Raises Observations and NCR reports and liaises with the Classification Certification Authority/Customer on acceptance of work and providing support in incident notification and investigation, as well as implementation of preventive measures.

Agility to Evolving Specifications - Adheres to change management procedure when technical/site queries are raised and agreed by relevant parties if any deviation to Specifications/approved procedures is required

Monitoring of the Delivery Process - Manages timely resolution of quality issues arising from each vendor to ensure the equipment/package arrives on site with zero / minimal carry-over work.

Raising Punch Lists - Witnesses and completes applicable A-ITR’s by verifying each line item, as well as raises punch-lists and clears rectification of punches as applicable in respective discipline, to ensure the delivery in full with adherence to quality requirements

Qualifications:

Structure – CSWIP 3.1/AWS or Equivalent.
