We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer to join our Design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing custom mechanical systems and components for Asphalt and Concrete plants, as well as overseeing their fabrication and testing.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop custom mechanical systems and components using CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo)

Requirements:

The candidate would be responsible for providing efficient management, technical and administrative support for all laboratory teachings and research activities and to oversee the safety standards in the laboratory in compliance to ISO 45001 standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage and oversee the operation of the Computer Aided Engineering laboratories and Biological Machine Lab in supporting the teaching and research activities.
• Manage and allocate manpower resources within the laboratories to meet operational needs.
• Budgetary planning for the laboratories and ensure procurement operations comply with the University’s financial policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Laboratory asset management and maintaining proper records for inventory auditing.
• Provide teaching supports to laboratory experiments and projects.
• Manage and maintain the Windows servers, engineering software application licenses and network systems.
• Conduct safety risk assessment for all equipment and processes.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Manufacturing Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in Product Design work, Computer Aided Design/ Computer Aided Manufacturing and Engineering software.
• Knowledge in Windows Server operating system.
