We are seeking a Development Engineer to join the Development team in our mask blank factory. Our team focuses on pilot line launching for new products and technology. As a Development Engineer, you will participate in the development of deposition processes that focus on product transfer, yield, quality, and throughput improvements. We have a strong emphasis on statistics-driven methods for experimental design and data analysis. You will coordinate with the R&D team at our facility in Japan to provide engineering support for all activities and new product set-up.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Product Pilots, Monitoring, and Troubleshoot:

· Take ownership of the pilot line in new product setup and launching.

· Monitor thin film properties and defect performance throughout the production cycle by adhering to specifications.

· Utilize statistical methods such as SPC and six sigma to ensure process control and monitoring.

· Conduct process metrics, including Design of Experiments (DOE) and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), to investigate problems and support process improvements.

2. Quality Assurance:

· Initiate and lead continuous quality improvement plans.

· Collaborate closely with production, equipment engineering, and the quality assurance team to address customer feedback and quality issues.

3. Process Documentation:

· Create and maintain process documentation that fulfills ISO practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

4. R&D Support:

· Partner with and support the R&D team in their experimental endeavors and sample making to enable the realization of technology roadmaps.

Skills and Competencies

1. Experience in a quality-certified environment, such as ISO9001, 5S, 8D, Lean Six Sigma.

2. Experience demonstrating statistical skills in data analysis, with good knowledge of tools such as JMP, Minitab, DOE, and SPC.

3. Experience with the use of tools such as Ellipsometer, X-ray reflectometry, SEM, and EDX.

4. Strong understanding of thin film metallurgy and deposition processes and equipment (Ion beam deposition, PVD, CVD).

Additional Information

1. Degree or Masters in Material Science or Engineering.

2. Minimum of more than 5 years of related working experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred.

3. Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and perform overtime as necessary.

Main Responsibilities:

• Service existing customers and develop new clients to expand company market share for Industrial product portfolio in a designated region
• To promote and market all Industrial products on agreed quarterly and annual target volume.
• Specifying of company’s product to all relevant clients, consultants, engineering companies, design companies and end user.
• Establishing contact with consultants, contractors, EPCs and project owners
• Managing and interpreting customer requirements ; Negotiating tender and contract terms
• Offering after-sales support services to customers
• Preparing weekly reports and call plan to the general manager
• Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
• Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs
• Offer pre-tender technical assistance and product education to the client
• Liaising with other members of the sales team to co-ordinate on projects pursue and win the projects
• Compile lists of prospective customers and projects for use as sales leads.
• Follow up project activities and update project lists.

Requirements:

• Diploma in mechanical or Chemical engineering with at least 1-2 years of industrial sales experience
• Familiarity on project pursue and product specification procedure is a plus
• Experience in water treatment, chemical, Semiconductor and utility segments are an added advantage
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin to communicate with Associates who can only converse in Mandarin

[What we are looking for]

Resourcefulness, integrity, drive, and a good team player are must-haves. Some combination of the following would help for favourable consideration:

• At least 3 years of experience as a software developer or equivalent position

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines

• Experience with cloud-based application development and web security

• Experience in gathering user’s requirements – clarifying them with Product Owners and Designers through high fidelity mock-ups or prototypes

• Experience in agile development teams, employing relevant methodologies and practices such as Scrum, Continuous Integration and Deployment to enable rapid delivery of value such as scripts for automated testing tools, scripts for configuration management

• Knowledge of modern Software Engineering best practices, software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

• Proficiency in:

(a) C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS. Proficiency in other modern programming languages is a plus.
(b) Relational and non-relational databases, such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc
(c) Front-end frameworks such as React, Node.js, or Angular 2

• Deploying and maintaining content management systems and web applications in the cloud
