Job scope:

- Report and communicate with Japan management team

To support and promote children’s well-being through. in supporting our Tinkle Friend Services, which includes the helpline and chatline, developing resources to support children’s mental well-being through various channels. To develop evidence-informed group work and workshops for children and work systemically with educators/parents, so as to support the holistic development of the child. As EHS Engineer you will be part of the Facilities & Logistics team of a growing BSL-2 GMP Facility (~4,000 m2) which offers Contract Testing Services for biopharmaceutical companies across the APAC region. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance to regulatory and corporate EHS requirements, and you will promote a safety, health and sustainability culture across all employees. You will also coordinate equipment maintenance and lead investigations and CAPA’s to maintain high-quality standards and ensure the safety of life-changing medicines tested at our Singapore site. This role will require close collaboration internally with Lab Operations, Quality, PMO, Regulatory and Corporate EHS.

What You Do

The position holder is accountable for performing the following functions independently, with minimal guidance:

EHS

• Manage site EHS program to ensure compliance and maintain a safety and healthy work environment. The EHS program encompasses all aspects of providing a safe workplace for its employees including WSH compliance, Fire Prevention, Emergency preparedness, hazardous material control, Biohazard safety and Hazard communication.
• Responsible for chemical safety and biosafety of the BSL-2 lab facility, waste disposal, safety equipment and procedures for managing hazardous substances and pathogens in accordance with regulations and corporate standards.
• Ensure site personnel are competent in performing Risk Assessments and ensuring needed Risk Assessments are completed.
• Responsible for applications, on-site inspections and on-time license renewal by government agencies (NEA, SPF, SCDF, AVS,..).

• Deliver EHS orientation and training to lab employees, visitors and contractors and completes contractor work permit review before the start of work.

• Facilitate site’s emergency response and conduct periodic drills.
• Perform periodic inspection and ensure site personnel are competent in performing safety inspections.

Engineering

• Lead investigations, write events, address audit findings and own CAPAs and Change Controls at site level.

Who You Are

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Science related discipline
• 1-3 year of working experience in Laboratory, R&D and/or manufacturing environment
• Experience of safety management of hazardous agents and practical knowledge of statutory/regulatory requirements on safety
