Role

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Cisco SP high-end routers, including ASR9K, CRS, ASR907, and ASR920.
• Upgrade and troubleshoot router firmware and software,ensuring optimal performance.
• Manage and optimize IGP/EGP routing protocols, including OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP.
• Implement and maintain MPLS technologies, such as RSVP-TE, LDP, and MP-BGP.
• Design, deploy, and troubleshoot L2/L3 VPNs and MVPNs.
• Ensure secure and efficient network connectivity for clients and internal systems.
• Implement high-availability solutions using protocols like HSRP, VRRP, and NSF.
• Configure network and device security mechanisms to safeguard infrastructure.
• Monitor and enhance network performance using NetFlow,QoS, and IP SLA.
• Diagnose and resolve latency and congestion issues proactively.
• Use network management tools for monitoring, configuration backups, and reporting.
• Prepare detailed network documentation, including diagrams and operational procedures.
• Troubleshoot, analysis, and diagnosis of sophisticated IP/MPLS Transport for Fixed/Mobile Converged Network, comprises of Core SP Routing Design (OSPF, ISIS, BGP), MPLS Label Protocols (LDP/RSVP/BGP-LU/Segment Routing), QoS, Multicast VPN, IPv6, Inter-AS VPN, EVPN.
• Provide Day-2 support to a sophisticated IP MPLS networks for Fixed Broadband Operator (FTTH/DSL) and Mobile Operator Networks.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience into Network Engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar relevant education background.
• Proven experience working with Cisco SP routers (ASR9K, CRS, ASR907, ASR920).
• Proficiency in Cisco IOS-XR and IOS-XE operating systems.
• Strong understanding of IGP/EGP protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP).
• Expertise in MPLS technologies, RSVP-TE, LDP, and MP-BGP.
• Hands-on experience with L2/L3 VPN, MVPN configurations, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of high-availability protocols and disaster recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with network security concepts, including ACLs, firewalls, and encryption.
• Experience with NetFlow, QoS, IP SLA, and network management tools.
• Cisco certifications such as CCNP-SP, CCIE-SP, or equivalent.
• Experience in automation tools like Python or Ansible for network operations.
• Familiarity with SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Function Virtualization) concepts.
