Position Summary

Under the oversight of the VP and Regional General Manager of the Singapore Office and the Executive Director of Marine & Safety Operations (US) is responsible to manage the Singapore and Australia/New Zealand deployed vessels for Disney Cruise Line covering all aspects of Marine, Safety, Environmental, Port Operations, /Itinerary and emergency management of the vessels.
This position supports both shore side & shipboard marine, safety & environmental operations, training and departmental strategies by ensuring high standards of marine, safety, environmental protection, port operations and crew training are maintained. Along with the development, implementation, and monitoring of policy and procedures both onboard and shore side throughout the region and onboard any company vessels operating within the Asia Pacific region.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Disney Cruise Line® marine nautical, port, environmental & safety standards for the vessels deployed in Singapore and Australia
• Departmental budgets for areas of responsibility.
• Ensuring that all fleet nautical & safety operational policies and procedures are verified, and the vessels are complying.

Job Requirements:

• Senior Deck Officer License and/or a minimum of 10 years of related experience in fleet operational and marine resources management preferably associated with cruise ships.
• Strategic planner with sound technical and people skills, analytical ability, sound judgment and operational focus. Must have great knowledge of the ship’s Nautical, Safety, Environmental, & Port Operations shoreside as well as the onboard roles.

3. Where mergers and acquisitions take place, advising companies and private equity investors on all tax aspects of their transactions - acquisition, disposal, refinancing, restructuring or initial public offering. And helping with negotiations throughout the transaction life cycle, from initial due diligence to post-deal implementation

· Develop, maintain and support Disaster Recovery plans on the weekend (bi-annual exercise).

· Participate in improving our monitoring and alerting tools for the support team to be more proactive on incident resolution and prevention.

· Monitor group mailbox, assigning/escalating appropriately.

· Basic of majority of the application the team supports with the ability to be L1 support when necessary.

· Adherence to Audit, Compliance and Risk guidelines. Knowledge Management and Documentation

· Documents support procedures on wiki.

· Owns team knowledge base on wiki for all in-scope applications.

· Provides support to end-users on how to use the application.

· Ensures Follow-the-Sun and regional support teams are continuously trained as required.

· Oversee the development of Proof-of-Concept/ solutions and provide technical expertise on the development of software and platform features, ensuring that appropriate security and risk factors are considered

· Ensures that all application support logs are fit for purpose, ie meaningful and actionable;

· Actively seeks reduction of dependency on manual interventions by support staff, e.g leveraging enterprise batch scheduling and enterprise monitoring tools.

· Implement self-recovery and automated detection of incident leveraging on learnings from past incidents. Maintenance and enhancements Oversee the acquisition and development of software systems in organisational units:

· Participates to release cycles for functional validation on staging/preproduction and production environments.

Job Requirements:

· 5 to 15 years’ experience

· Good business knowledge on other fixed income products.

· Understanding of Risk & PNL terms.

· Proficient in python and SQL
