About the role

The Legal division is made up of team members from Legal, Corporate Security, Compliance, Risk Management & Insurance, Privacy and Corporate Secretarial (“Legal”). The Group General Counsel (“GGC”) is the Head of Legal numbering more than 50 employees comprising legal counsels and respective teams based in Singapore and globally.

Reporting into the Group General Counsel, the duties include supporting the legal department technological tools including its Teams instances, litigation reporting tool (“Mitigate”), contractual risk management tool (“sAIgon”), corporate secretarial administrative support including management of Viewpoint.

Key responsibilities

Legal Department Operations Administrator

• Assist the Group General Counsel and Group Company Secretary and full legal team by managing team technology implementation.
• Administer and maintain databases of legal documents
• Office management support work include document management and procurement follow up with vendors.
• To maintain records and files (online and hard copy filing systems) in a systematic manner for easy access and retrieval using technology management

• Manage notarization and legalization requirements for corporate documentation including to communicate with the notary and courier despatch to arrange documents in good order for use in various countries
• Arrange translation and other administrative requirements upon team request
• Support accurate filing of physical corporate statutory records as applicable and accurate upload of statutory records with clear naming convention to corporate secretarial records online library
• Assist corporate secretarial team to update corporate information in software database and retrieval of corporate information or reports upon request from the corporate secretarial team or Legal team members
• Provide strong administrative support to Group Company Secretary including to communicate with the corporate secretarial team to provide organisation changes updates to circulate quarterly organisation charts and to draft customised chart extracts and related documents, entities’ list of addresses and all assigned jobs
• Support administration of Corp pass authorisation system to manage digital service access of employees for various functions to perform corporate transactions for Singapore companies. [there are more than 200 government digital services available at current time]

• Manage Business Performance tasks (Progress Management / Data Analysis / Proposals / Reporting of Sales Revenue, Returns, Inventory, COGS, Expenses, PL etc.)

• Perform monthly tracking and analysis of the in-house company's budget and actual results (analysing sales by product, customer, and geography).

• Optimise the use of financial and business information, develop and prepare local management reports to support Business in decision making

• Lead Onitsuka Tiger SEA monthly close process with accounting team and supporting financial analysis and reporting

• Generate monthly business review package and manage Onituska Tiger Headquarter finance expectation through deliverable

• Analyse monthly / quarterly P&L, Profit Contribution, all kinds of reports and discuss the deviation from budget with relevant business managers; discuss / monitor action plans to overcome negative deviations

• Being the local planning Coordinator and responsible for local internal planning calendar (budget, forecast, mid-term financial plan)

• Support the Business during the planning process with tool support, reviewing and questioning planning result

• Frequent communication with business function to drive strategy forward and achieve target planned

• Periodic forecasting and concrete gap analysis compared to actual result to meet bottom line finalized

• Manage the inventory and order figures from financial perspective based on business performance

• Draw up the P&L of both new store opening and store closure by collaborating with stakeholders

• Cope with internal audit tasks

• Provide support for the in-house company's transactions with client

• Perform risk management and internal/external and accounting audits as a legal entity by collaborating with ASICS Shared Service Finance team

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 8+ years’ experience in FP&A

• 3+ years’ experience in team management

• Has exposure in managing back-office functions is a plus

• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to work hands-on.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, as well as with external stakeholders.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Able to adapt to environmental changes and varying needs with flexibility.

• Proficient in English (both verbal and written)

• Could speak Japanese at business level is a plus

• Has work experience in Japanese company is a plus

• Experience in retail industries such as fashion (apparel/footwear) and cosmetics is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• As specialist in energy market analysis, support negotiations, consideration of the establishment of the LNG strategy and the executive decision-making process by providing comprehensive market analysis.
• Collect appropriate market data in a timely manner from various sources in/out of Japan/Singapore and create comprehensive market analysis in collaboration with other members in the market analysis team, delivering reports to ensure alignment with the strategic direction of the Japan HQ.
• Assess and evaluate LNG contract terms such as volume, flexibility, and specifications during negotiation and decision making process by communicating with the relevant entities within the company group. Take into account potential risks and opportunities, considering the technical and operational characteristics and constraints of the company's terminal, storage facilities and shipping fleet.
• Participate in discussions with stakeholders, both within and outside of the company, regarding forecasts of the global energy market. Contribute to enhancing the organization's analytical capabilities through these discussions and support establishing the company's LNG portfolio strategy.

Qualifications/Skills Required

• Expert in data collection, analysis, and efficient report development/presentation skill to ensure alignment with the strategic direction of the Japan HQ.
• Bachelor's degree preferably in Economics, Science, Engineering or related fields.
• Business-level Japanese for written communication with Japanese stakeholders locally and at Japan HQ.
• 8 to 10 years of work experience with a minimum of 4 to 5 years in LNG contracting or LNG price reviews. Clear Understanding of the negotiation arguments and how to drive pricing analysis to support them.
• Prior experience in supporting the establishment of the company’s strategy. Tenure in energy business planning and/or strong understanding of the Japanese domestic energy market.
• Deep understanding of LNG operations and optimisation and the experience of the quantitative assessment of the operational terms.
