The Operations Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of products in a food manufacturing environment. This role involves monitoring production processes, conducting quality checks, enforcing compliance with regulatory and internal standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Control:

• Perform routine quality inspections and audits across all stages of the production process, including raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
• Monitor adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and food safety protocols.
• Review the tests method and analysis using established quality control methods, ensuring products meet defined specifications and standards.
• Responsible for the Batch record review and perform the release of the product. Work closely with production and supply chain team to ensure the market demand is fulfilled.
• Document and report non-conformities and collaborate with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support the new product initiative with different stakeholders, ensure the quality of the product is compliance to the product specification
• Managing the equipment calibration used in QC & Production, to ensure the calibration is up to date and maintained.
• Review and manage the GMP audit, to ensure the GMP requirement is maintained and at audit ready status.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with GFSI standard and regulations (e.g. BRCGS, FDA, HACCP) and company policies.
• Assist in preparing for and participating in regulatory and third-party audits.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for traceability and regulatory purposes.

Process Improvement:

• Identify areas for quality improvement and work closely with production teams to enhance processes.
• Participate in root cause analyses and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and deliver training sessions for staff on quality standards and food safety practices.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Serve as a liaison between the Quality Assurance and Operations teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on quality objectives.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to production staff and management on quality-related issues.
• Support new product development and changes in production by evaluating potential quality impacts.

Job Description

• To assist and support the Manager at the Ops department on the day-to-day workshop & depots operations.
• Provide administrative support to the Ops Department such as filing, recording of job requisition (JR), incoming & outgoing vehicles records, bi-weekly of insurance claims report, etc.
• Assist to handle the full set of accident claim process, ensuring motor claims processes are follow up closely, till the finalization of payment.
• Submission of insurance report on a bi-weekly basis and endorse by Manager.
• Issuance of the Quotation, DO and Invoice for the depots.
• To assist Manager in conducting bi-weekly toolbox meeting, ensuring proper documentation are in place.
• Ensuring the First Aid box and its content are constantly monitor and replenish.
• Ensuring monthly OT claims are process and approve for HR to process with payroll calculation.
• To render kind assistance to foreign workers on all administrative applications.
• Actively participate and attend safety committee meeting in the absence of Manager in compliance to organizational safety practice & procedures.
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirement

• A-level / Diploma and above or equivalent.
• Compulsory to have knowledge in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Report generation with good eye for details to ensure report accuracies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manpower Management: Manage the deployment and daily operations of security personnel at assigned sites.
• Planning and Optimization: Forecast site needs, plan duty rosters, and prepare for contingencies with meticulous attention to detail.
• Client Support: Be a reliable support system for Operations Managers and site supervisors, actively assisting with concerns and issues.
• Mentorship and Training: Facilitate on-the-job training for new and existing security personnel, ensuring competence and knowledge retention.
• Client and Management Collaboration: Foster positive relationships with client management, regularly propose service improvements, and deliver detailed reports.
• Investigative Proficiency: Conduct thorough investigations and prepare comprehensive reports on incidents or concerns.
• Standards and Compliance: Ensure personnel performance adheres to established standards, conduct site checks, and solicit client feedback through regular meetings.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively identify opportunities for service enhancements and present them to the management team.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and updated documentation for both onsite and office records.
• Adaptability and Flexibility: Be prepared to perform additional duties related to site operations and respond with initiative to unexpected situations.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Security Management preferred, minimum of Advanced Certificate in Security Supervision acceptable.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar supervisory role within the security industry.
• Valid PLRD license (SS and above preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Operational readiness, including responsiveness even outside regular working hours.
