The Cloud & AppSec Incubation SE at Cisco is part of an elite technical pre-sales team, responsible for driving the success of Cisco’s Cloud Security and Application Portfolio including Multicloud Defense, Secure Workload, and Panoptica product lines. What You'll Do

• You are responsible for partnering with the BU and GTM teams to ensure market success of our incubated Cloud & AppSec products. This is a highly visible technical (pre-sales) position that supports the Product and Engineering Business Units, Sales and Field Engineering organizations, working directly with each of them, our partners, and prospective customers.
• You will conduct technical presentations, set up demonstrations to explain features and benefits to customers. You will form relationships with our customer’s key decision-makers, positioning Cisco solutions aligned precisely to their requirements. Who You Are:

Responsibilities:

• Design, development, testing and support of firmware/embedded software applications for microcontroller based wireless systems.

Position Overview

Be responsible to research and develop innovative computer vision/deep learning algorithms for image applications.

Responsibilities

1. Research, develop and optimize computer vision/deep learning algorithms for image applications, such as, object recognition, face recognition, video analytics, image quality enhancement, and 3D reconstruction.

2. Explore, design and implement new algorithms/features according to marketing requirements.

Requirements

1. Ph.D. or MS with equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related disciplines such as Applied Mathematics/Statistics.

2. Broad knowledge in various computer vision related topics such as deep learning, object recognition (detection, classification, segmentation) and tracking, stereo, and/or 3D reconstruction; candidate with image sensor knowledge is a plus.

3. Strong knowledge and extensive hands-on experience of independent algorithm research; candidate with strong mathematics background is a plus.

4. Excellent C/C++ programming skills, proficient with scripting languages (e.g. Python or Matlab), and extensive experience with OpenCV.

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
