Job Description:
The Wholesale Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive wholesale sales, managing distributor relationships, and ensuring the successful selection, distribution, and growth of our sake and wine products to various retail partners. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of the beverage industry (especially sake) and be able to fluently communicate and negotiate with our clients and customers (especially in the Japanese market).
- Acquire new customers through actively chasing leads, meeting the decision-makers, and closing deals for listings that generate long-term sales
- Work closely with the team to develop growth strategies focused on both financial gain and customer satisfaction, execute the sales strategies, and achieve the company goals
- Provide strong after-sales support and maintain excellent business relationships with the customers to retain their accounts, grow their listings and create new business opportunities
- Identify new market opportunities and potential distribution channels to expand the reach of our sake products
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns and materials that enhance brand visibility and drive sales
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and tastings to showcase our sake products and network within the industry
- Develop and execute a training programme for our clients to train and develop their teams to be knowledgeable on our portfolio listing at their venues and to increase the sales of sake
- Create a schedule of consumer and trade events, masterclasses, educational workshops, and activities to promote the sake beverages in our portfolio with our Retail and F&B clients and generate more sales
- Provide support for marketing activities that increase the awareness of the brands that are in our portfolio
- Operate within the company guidelines and follow the processes set up relating to the day-to-day operations of the business, be a team player, supporting the whole team to achieve the overall company sales targets and revenue goals
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of related experience
- Professional language proficiency in Japanese will be advantageous due to targeted Japanese market, clients, and customers
- Expertise and extensive knowledge in Sake is required
- Great communication skills with positive, interpersonal skills
- A team player with a good sense of job responsibility and a keen eye for details
- Honest willingness to learn and grow with the Company
