We are currently seeking a dedicated Human Resources (HR) and Administrative (Admin) Officer / Executive to play a critical role in supporting the human resource, finance, IT, and operational administration of our Council.

Human Resource Responsibilities:

● Plan and coordinate recruitment, on-boarding and off-boarding materials and processes, appraisal exercises and training for employees and interns

● Work with stakeholders to provide manpower administration, including preparation of Job Descriptions, selection of potential candidates, scheduling of interviews, negotiation of compensation packages, and offer letter preparation.

● Handle work pass and corporate credit card applications, issuance, renewals and cancellations,

● Maintain and organise staff personnel records

● Process claims of government grants and subsidies, such as maternity leave and childcare leave applications, training subsidies, as and when needed

● Plan and organise staff events and welfare programmes

● Serve as the primary contact for employee HR inquiries.

● Take ownership of monthly payroll processing and reporting, and actively contribute to the review, enhancement, and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.

Administration Responsibilities:

● Manage office mail, facilities, equipment (including IT and software) and supplies.

● Handle all documentation matters, including the issuance of appointment letters, coordination of annual Conflict of Interest declarations, safekeeping and organisation of compliance and policy documents.

● Monitor and facilitate applications and renewals for essential corporate administration tools, including but not limited to broadband, telephone services, and insurance coverage.

● Support meetings and events, and governance matters as and when required

● Act as a fire warden for the Council.

Payment Processing:

● Process bank payments and staff claims.

● Prepare payment and claim reports.

Other Corporate Services:

● Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Duties

Merchandising and Market Research

1. Devise and implement sales and merchandising plans and strategies to achieve sales, stock and profit targets of the department. To maximize sales and minimize losses through the proper management of staff, merchandise and space of department.

8. Plan and organize merchandise purchase and delivery schedule from overseas buying trips.

9. Plan and execute renovation plan/s for department.

Business / Sales and Cost Management

10. Management of day-to-day business plans and sales operations of department.

11. Effective management / control of operating expenses (including manpower expenses).

12. Support sales floor operations (during operation hours) and to lead and motivate staff and promoters to carry out their duties effectively and efficiently in order to achieve sales, profits and stock targets.

13. Prepare and analyze sales / profits / stock reports; prepare budget reports and any other records required by the company.

Advertising and Promotions Events / Merchandise Presentation

14. Prepare and execute advertising and promotion plans, budget and schedules based on sales plan.

15. Enhance merchandise presentations (display).

16. Embrace digital marketing for better customer engagement and business growth for physical store and online store.

Staff Management & Customer Service

17. Prepare and execute manpower plans; to check and approve department’s monthly staff roster; to ensure optimal management of manpower strength/effective manpower planning.

18. Conduct On-The-Job training - ensure that all staff and promoters provide the highest level of service to customers; adhere to company policies, rules and regulations; behave according to business etiquette and standards set by the company; are properly dressed and groomed.

19. Conduct effective performance management of staff.

20. Keep up-to-date on store information and product knowledge to sell and promote merchandise and services of the company, employing a consistently high level of service.

21. Establish and reform operation system, merchandise assortment and (improve) service level based on customers’ requirement/feedback; resolve customer complaints and to obtain customers’ feedback.

Compliance Management

22. Comply with Company’s policies, rules and regulations and to abide by social rules and regulations.

The Academic Insturctor is required to teach the courses in the undergraduate programs offered by the University at Buffalo, The States University of New York, US, in partnership with Singapore Institute of Management in Singapore.

The roles would include:

• Creation of course design and materials, and implementation of syllabus to meet UB learning objectives;
• Delivery of student-centered, interactive course curriculum, including supervision of project work;
• Create, administer, and mark assessment instrucments;
• Evaluate student progress and achievements;

Job Requirements:

Singapore Sports School is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Coach (Sabre), Fencing Academy.

You will be responsible for planning and implementing the training and competition plans for a group of student-athletes towards high performance in sports, based on long-term athlete development principles, under the guidance of the Fencing Academy Head Coach. You will keep track of the progress of each student-athlete and provide regular updates to the Fencing Academy, the student-athletes and their parents. You will work with the Head Coach, General Manager, fellow coaches, school staff and external stakeholders to achieve the sporting goals and holistic development of the student-athletes under your care.

• Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and compliance with standards and operating procedures.
• Oversee daily financial operations, encompassing accounting, reporting, ensuring precision, timeliness, and compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
• Prepare management, statutory, and other reports as required by the Board and Committees or pursuant to applicable regulations.
• Coordinate audits, ensuring adherence to financial regulations.
• Support in cash flow management, providing projections for planning to optimise working capital gains.
• Set and monitor annual budgets and expenses.

• Collaborate with other teams to optimise budgeting, cost monitoring, and control, and oversee budgets of special projects when necessary
