Summary

The Regional Director Security Operations (RDSO) is responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team that executes a global security operations program for a multi-national IT organization. Services provided include security operations, safety, budget and financial execution, logistics, and employee recruitment, onboarding and training. The security operations program is comprised of regional security man-guarding functions, a security operations center, development and management of security operations metrics, branch liaison, personnel management and driving key security operations projects and initiatives for datacenters on a multi $100M global Client account. Direct reports may include field based Regional Security Managers, as well as shared services/program management resources to include Regional Operations Coordinator, Security Design PMOs and other Security Operations personnel. The RDSO is accountable for datacenter security operations service delivery, enhancing safety culture, driving innovation and process change across the program and staff engagement and development. The RDSO is expected to advance operational security and business relevancy while collaborating with the client, fellow RDSOs, Securitas business divisions, associate contractors, global business partners, and other supporting teams. You will be responsible for proactively managing and maintaining stakeholder engagement and work in close collaboration with the other D&T departments across the Globe. You will be responsible for ensuring the proper balance between business needs, technology options, and user experience to maximize product value and increase efficiency.

This role is housed within our Global Digital Product team, responsible for driving the Product Vision & Strategy across the value chains and business segments. This is a mission-critical role with substantial scope, complexity, executive visibility, and has a large opportunity for impact!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

– Develop and communicate a comprehensive vision, product roadmap, and articulate the short-term and long-term strategy holistically for the APAC region, ensuring tight alignment to business strategy and OKRs and the Global Digital strategy. Take overall responsibility for delivering to the APAC digital strategy and roadmap and act as a direct execution manager for certain key initiatives.

– Build and maintain relationships with key business stakeholders to understand priorities, needs, and opportunities for enablement

– Works closely with designers, engineers, and business professionals in a collaborative environment to support the creation of strategic, product roadmaps.

– Draws upon (regional) customer insights to drive the software product vision and direction in close partnership with the respective Digital Product Managers; Provides leadership in identifying and defining ongoing product features that align with business strategy.

– Partner with Business Analytics, Client Data teams to ensure proper data governance and usability of captured data for analytics purposes.

– Hands-on management of day-to-day execution of product delivery in region with focus on building a competitive and differentiating data backed digital advantage.

– Stay up to date on industry trends, anticipate future market needs, and stay abreast of investment management trends and digital advancements specific to the APAC region as well as across the Globe.

– Work in close collaboration with Data and Data Science teams to drive product embedded analytics and associated insights.

– Lead product delivery collaboration across business, engineering and data teams, as well as partner on user onboarding, change management and continued product satisfaction.

– Establish metrics and measure progress towards increasing adoption.

– Effectively run governance forums and manage product budgets and overall team performance./

– Uses technical and product expertise to ensure that the business priorities and deliverables are prioritized on the Product roadmaps and backlogs.

– Facilitates discussions, user story development and refinement, and testing and validation; contributes to roadblocks resolution and decision making.

– Provides regular updates; manages executive stakeholder communication and reporting in the APAC region.

– Acts as a single point of contact for ongoing support and services for the APAC region. Prioritizes needs, engages various technical teams, as needed, routes requests to correct owners, and ensures support is provided to internal or external satisfaction.

– Actively engages in Agile process, including daily scrum sessions, demos, and testing activities, as well as training and change management activities, as needed.

– Manages changes to features and communication in region to ensure there is clear indication of what is required for each release.

Purpose of the Role:

Industry Research & Creation Division (hereinafter referred to as “IRCD”) provides a full spectrum of services ranging from industry research to strategic solution proposals. The role requires strong leadership to effectively manage teams in Singapore and Hong Kong, driving high performance by leveraging highly specialized industry research expertise.

The individual shall be responsible for 1) leading the teams to conduct research on a wide range of industries in APAC region, providing industry knowledge, views and insights to both internal stakeholders and clients; 2) guiding the teams to take the initiative to engage clients in discussions on business strategies by leveraging industry knowledge, thereby supporting business lines in identifying and creating business opportunities; and 3) overseeing team activities to ensure the high quality output and offering sound recommendations that contribute to MUFG Bank’s sustainable growth.

Job Responsibilities:

· Develop and accomplish the business plan to align with the Bank’s business strategies and initiatives in APAC region.

· Lead the teams to perform in-depth analysis of a wide range of industries in APAC region.

· Guide the teams to proactively support business lines by providing industry knowledge, views and insights to both internal stakeholders and clients.

· Lead the teams to identify clients’ business challenges and recommend reasonable actions based on the adequate analysis and understanding of the latest industry trends, and medium-to long-term foresight.

· Collaborate closely with managements and the planning team of IRCD Tokyo, as well as overseas colleagues, to promote global sector activities and IRCD’s initiatives as one team.

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior managements in APAC region as well as key stakeholders of MUFG.

· Work with various external parties including, but not limited to, consultancies, credit rating agencies and government agencies to collect information to develop robust outcomes.

· Oversee the management of direct reports, including objective setting, performance evaluation, career development, and decisions regarding financial and non-financial rewards.

· Provide support, coaching and guidance to the teams on complex issues.

· Ensure the quality of research outputs by reviewing team reports to ensure the precision, organization, logic, persuasiveness, and value-added contents.

· Act as a trusted advisor to managements on matters related to the industry research.

Job Requirements:

· Degree qualified.

· At least 15 years of experience, including relevant industry research expertise within the banking sector.

· Proficiency in both written and spoken Japanese (minimum JLPT1 Certification) to effectively communicate and report business strategies, plans, and activities to internal stakeholders including, but not limited to, IRCD Tokyo, Japanese Corporate & Investment Banking Business Planning Division Tokyo, and senior managements in APAC region as well as Tokyo HQ.

· Strong coaching and mentoring skills to lead and manage the teams.

· Extensive experience in conducting research to prepare sound recommendations.

· Advanced analytical skills to interpret large and complex datasets, identifying key insights and implications.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence others through logical reasoning.

· Comprehensive knowledge of industries and economies in the APAC region.

· Deep understanding of functions, departments, divisions in and out of MUFG, to foster effective collaboration and add value to business promotion efforts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage systems & data to support seniors' outreach and volunteers' operations, as well as to instill governance knowledge for all staff and upskill staff’s digitalisation skills.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve the work processes and operational efficiency.
