Job Description & Requirements

Sales activities

• Engagement with customers ranging from small medium sized to larger customers, outfield visit is sometimes required
• Focal point to all customer enquiry on both commercial and operational matters.
• Negotiate and liaise on all shipment issues. E.g., space / local charges details/ free time issue.
• Any other activities relating to rates and freight
• Preparing daily sales forecast for cargo flow to ensure SG space is protected
• Liasing with cargo flow on space acceptance and relay the same information to Customer Service team

Rate / Free time filling

• Liaise with trade manager for rate / free time filling
• Create and submit OOG application for BU approval
• Follow up on quotations, credit applications and free time request with all stakeholders
• Feedback competitors/market rate info to the line manager for MMG rate reviewing
• Sending of tariff adjustment memo to all relevant stakeholders

Auto rating filling / Freighting

• Monitor and ensure all sales quotations are filed on time before closing date.
• File the rate details into quotation negotiation and process auto rating when shipment materialized.
• Ensure all the freight was manifested correctly.
• Follow up on FOB rate details with oversea agents/ regional office whenever FOB shipment is received.
• Take lead in troubleshooting all rating matters, working with different stakeholders in resolving the issues
• Ensure auto-rating can take place successfully

CRM/Reporting

• Generate sales report from CRM. Monitor and flag any abnormality in the trend
• Analyze customer performance from CRM to study the trend. Liaise with respective AO and discuss potential resolutions to the issues
• Act as focal point to receive the sales lead in CRM. Assign the sales lead to individual AO.

Any other duties

• Key focal point for Country Manager’s travelling itinerary
• Ad-hoc duties

Main responsibilities

Responsible for the functional knowledge

· Write detailed specifications/US in line with the list of requirements provided

· Liaise with business for clarification and understanding of requirements

· Analyze functional impacts considering technical constraints with technical lead’s help

· Explain and work closely with the developers for the implementation of change/evolutions

Responsible for the functional testing of development

· Create tests and define tests strategy in coordination with project manager / Others Business Analysts

· Conduct continuous testing in development environment for development monitoring

Involved in support of application for functional incident

· 3rd level support work on request escalated from level 2

· Reproduce, make initial analysis and investigate by verifying data on the database or GUI

· Analyze and/or solve functional problems in coordination with developers

Job Requirements:

· Minimum 6 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst from requirements gathering, solution planning, testing and documentation

· Proven experience in testing (writing, executing and monitoring test) particularly in managing of end-to-end testing for application releases

· Good knowledge of all phases of IT software development

· Capable to coordinate with both business and technical teams

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to answer to business needs

· Excellent communication skills

· Proactive and result-oriented

· Has strong sense of responsibility and commitment

· Collaborative team player and is willing to share knowledge

Functional

· Corporate finance knowledge

· Experience on project management is a plus

Technical

• Experience with backlog management tools such as Jira and Azure TFS

• Knowledge and practical usage of SQL

• Exposure to API development is a plus
