What is the Job all about?

Development and improvement of manufacturing processes in a water pump manufacturing plant. This is to be carried out by understanding both the product and manufacturing methods, in order to effectively apply this knowledge to the Shopfloor.

This role will be directly reporting to the Regional Head for Operations , and to be based in Singapore.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment while also conferring with equipment vendors.
• Evaluates manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials and effectively understanding observations from operators.
• Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, establishing standards and confirming manufacturing processes.
• Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains processes data base by keeping SAP registries up to date.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Be the reference point for engineering change management in the plant, implementing the requirements and policy making of such changing, evaluating their impact in cost and delivery before proceeding.
• Be a reference point for other ME engineers in the plant, coaching them wherever is required.

Your background:

• Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or equivalent.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts in order to implement them in the Shopfloor.

Qualification & Experiences:

• Strong knowledge and practice in 8D, SPC, MSA, FMEA, QFD, 6-sigma methodology, PPAP, change management.

We are seeking an energetic Security Engineer II to serve as a technical resource and leader. This position has two components and supports both our team that Onboards new customers and our MSS team that manages security devices for our customers. 

Onboarding, 60% of this role:  this part of the position centers on security and availability of customer data as it is brought into the Proficio SIEM. The Security Engineer II will assist in working with new clients as they transition to our ProSOC service. This includes ensuring timely deployment of services, developing a personalized on-boarding strategy for each customer and auditing of systems reporting from the client to our Security Operation Center. 

MSS device configuration/maintenance, 40% of this role:  this part of the position will help ensure delivery of our Elastic Stack Managed Security Services to meet or exceed the defined service levels of our clients. The Security Engineer II will respond to customer requests and act as a trusted technical resource for our clients while striving to maintain high reliability and performance within our customer’s environments. This position also includes managing and optimizing overall IT infrastructure and systems used in the delivery of our Managed Security Services.

 Responsibilities

• Assist in the onboarding and implementation of ProSOC service and Managed Security Services solutions for Proficio clients across industries and geographic locations.

Job Description:

• Manage a team of technical supervisors on site to ensure that all site activities comply with the regulations and client's requirements.

• This position requires fair amount of traveling in the Asia Pacific and South East Asia Region (10-15%)
• Possess strong presentation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills
• Possess strong customer service mind-set with keen enthusiasm for spare parts/power generation products
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Independent and results-oriented with strong business and commercial sense
• Prior spare parts experience with engines manufacturers will be advantageous
• Bilingual capability in English and Mandarin will be advantageous

WORKING HOURS / LOCATION

• 5-day work week
• 8.30am to 5.15pm
• Located in Jurong
