Overview
You will be responsible to provide personalized, specialised and cost-effective care to the patients in accordance to established hospital policies and procedures, standards of nursing care and practices.
Job Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
ā¢ Assesses patientsā needs on admission and on daily basis throughout their hospital stay
ā¢ Plans and implements care according to the assessed needs
ā¢ Evaluates and monitors patientsā progress according to planned care
ā¢ Documents care given and monitors outcomes on the established charts and forms
ā¢ Delivers safe and competent nursing care
ā¢ Participates actively in physiciansā rounds
ā¢ Carries out treatments and investigations as prescribed by physicians
ā¢ Collaborates and co-operates with physicians and other health-care providers in the smooth delivery of patient care and services
ā¢ Communicates and discusses patientsā progress and response to treatment with physicians, nursing and allied health colleagues involved in the patient care
ā¢ Provides patient/family with information and education on disease prevention, health education and rehabilitation techniques
ā¢ Ensures continuity of patient care and treatment plans through follow-ups
ā¢ Displays compassion, a positive and caring attitude towards patients
ā¢ Adhere to proper use and care of equipment
ā¢ Maintains a clean and safe working environment
Secondary Responsibilities:
ā¢ Supervises and guides nursing students, new joiners, graduated registered nurses and junior staff in their work
ā¢ Participates in clinical and service quality activities
ā¢ Keeping abreast with current nursing and health care practices
ā¢ Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned by Nursing Management Team
Requirements
ā¢ Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
ā¢ At least 2 years working experience in acute setting
ā¢ Diploma or Degree in Nursing from recognized training institutions approved by SNB
ā¢ Good interpersonal and communication skills
ā¢ Compassionate, positive and caring nature
ā¢ Possess good clinical skills and knowledge
ā¢ Prepared to work on 3 rotating shifts
ā¢ Entry level welcomed to apply
