RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overseeing daily operations:
- Ensure business operations is in order like cashier counter and display is neat and tidy.
- Monitor baking processes to ensure consistency in the products quality.
- Visually inspect for proper color, size, shape, and finish according to bakery's product specifications.
- Conduct random checks throughout the production line to identify any inconsistencies.
Staff management:
- Delegate tasks and provide clear instructions to ensure efficient quality control procedures.
- Monitor the team's performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Identify training needs and conduct sessions with the team on quality control best practices specific to bakery's products (e.g., bread, cookies, pastries). -Recruit and manage bakery staff.
Train and develop bakery staff:
- Ensure staff understand the importance of maintaining hygiene standards and following food safety protocols.
- Keep a record of staff performance such as punctuality, courtesy, and baking skills.
Identify and effectively resolve quality issues:
- Investigate the root cause of quality issues to prevent recurrence.
- Document the issue, corrective actions taken, and preventive measures implemented.
- Liaise with the team to adjust processes or ingredients to ensure consistent quality.
Maintain detailed production records:
- Document all quality control checks, including observations and any corrective actions taken.
- Maintain records of production data like temperature logs, batch codes, and expiration dates.
- Prepare reports summarizing quality control activities and identify any trends or areas for improvement.
Strictly adhere to internal and government food safety and hygiene standards:
- Ensure the bakery follows all regulations set by local health departments and government agencies.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment to prevent contamination.
- Implement proper storage procedures to ensure food safety throughout the shelf life of the products.
Sales and Marketing:
- Coordinate with marketing teams for outlet promotions and events.
- To implement promotional events (e.g free sample days) and strategies in order increase foot traffic to the bakery shop and attract new customers.
- Keep a record of which promotional products that can boost sales.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum O'Level
Able to communicate in English (able to communicate in Mandarin and Malay dialect is an advantage)
Able to work on shift
Have knowledge in Microsoft excel , microsoft office
