Job Responsibilities

• Work with the Regional Finance and Group Tax teams, to deliver a robust tax governance & risk management framework across the region including delivery of the Tax InControl framework.
• Act as tax business partner for all markets within the region. Including provision of tax support and advice in relation to mergers & acquisitions, integration, new business initiatives and entry into new markets.
• Work with the region's local finance teams to coordinate preparation and submission of all tax returns in the region. Develop proposals for compliance efficiencies including use of Global Business Services and technology.
• Ensure tax reporting and forecasting is delivered accurately and on a timely basis across the region and ensure that the region’s key tax KPIs are managed for external reporting and internal forecasting.
• Manage all transfer pricing, OECD BEPS, Country by Country Reporting and anti-hybrid obligations and documentation requirements across the region per Inchcape policies. Be the Regional lead on implementation of systems and processes to deliver the Global Minimum Tax (OECD Pillar 2).
• Coordinate the withholding tax processes within the region relating to Group Service Charges, GBS recharges and Digital recharges. Ensure documentation requirements are met.
• Lead the entity rationalisation and structure simplification strategy within the region.
• Provide advice in relation to indirect tax matters including cross-border supply chain issues.
• Support the APAC region businesses with tax audits, disputes and litigation.
• Ensure the capital structure of the APAC region is managed including delivery of the annual cash repatriation strategy.
• Monitor tax law changes and support the local markets to deliver required process or systems changes.
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and local tax authorities.

Job Requirements

• Qualified Accountant or Tax Advisor (or equivalent) [with at least [5] years PQE]
• Strong international tax technical knowledge covering direct and indirect taxes and tax reporting

Job Responsibilities:

• Revise, enhance, implement, and sustain the inter-company transfer pricing policies, protocols, and framework for the group.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting SEA&I (Southeast Asia and India) who will be part of the SEA&I Record-to-Report team to ensure complete, accurate and timely financial reporting and maintain an effective internal control environment.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

You will ensure timely and accurate month-end closing across SEA&I territory and will drive continuous improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of the team’s accounting and financial reporting processes. This will also involve working closely with our Managed Service Provider for accounting transactions.

You will develop high profile, influential and collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and layers of the business. In addition, you may engage with internal Country Controlling teams, Finance, Legal, Tax and other cross functional teams to analyse process impact, to drive necessary changes in supporting business initiatives and efficiencies.

You will also be part of the team managing local statutory filings and audits and collaborate with internal and external auditors and tax advisors on tax related work such as corporate income tax, consumption (indirect) tax, transfer pricing related matters and local tax audits.

This role directly reports to Manager – Corporate Accounting, SEA&I. In addition to working closely with the SEA&I Finance team, you will also work closely with our broader Nike SEA&I team. Effective and timely communication between Nike SEA&I, APLA Geography teams and business partners are a critical piece to this role, and this will give you a great opportunity to learn our end to end business process with broader business key stakeholders. You will also interact with various service providers who we partner with in driving various initiatives or audits.

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting required, preferably with CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive experience with public accounting firms and/or multi-national companies desired
• Knowledge of US GAAP, local GAAP and SOX required and experience with SAP is preferred
• Experience working with or in a Managed Service Provider environment would be highly preferred, as will process mapping, centralisation or standardisation experiences
• Ability to translate business requirements into operationalisation with considerations for financial risks and controls across end-to-end processes.
