Key Attributes/Responsibilities:

• Leading the commissioning and validation of pharmaceutical process equipment.
• Using the process automation system for the commissioning and validation of process equipment.
• Protocol Development (IQ,OQ, PQ) / protocol review for process equipment.
• Interface with client personnel and with outside vendors when necessary while performing the above.
• Managing validation projects– process equipment
• Individual will manage all facets of assigned validation projects while maintaining strong communication with client representatives on project status and assistance needed.

The Chief Engineer is responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of all engineering activities within the organization. This includes overseeing engineering related projects and its maintenance. He/she must ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Chief Engineer also plays a critical role in leading the engineering team, fostering innovation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Primary Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage the engineering team, provident guidance and performance evaluation

Project Management

• Oversee and manage the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects.

• Communicate project progress and technical information to senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and present reports, proposals, and technical documentation
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth project execution and communication.

Technical Expertise & Safety Assurance

• Provide technical leadership and direction in all areas of engineering.
• Review and approve engineering designs, plans, and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Implement and monitor quality control processes.
• Promote a culture of safety within the engineering team.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology.
• Encourage the development and implementation of innovative engineering solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Production Manager in the completion of daily production assignments
• Develop strategic, accurate and effective planning for production and materials delivery
• Liaise with all levels of personnel to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise
• To update stock reports regularly to ensure that the records are accurate
• Perform technical troubleshooting
• Familiar with all stages of the manufacturing process such as stamping, bending, turreting, lasering, CNC. etc.
• Has requisite skills and experience in the operation of relevant machinery

Requirements:

• Minimally posses a NTC2 or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 2-3 years experience in a production/manufacturing company within a similar function
• Able to interpret technical drawings
• Knowledge in AutoCAD would be an added advantage

The Role

The Software Engineering team is a central part of Javelin that delivers and maintains the trading and risk management software systems. The role is like a Front Office Developer role at an investment bank or hedge fund. The team’s mandate also extends to the various logistical, financing and operational activities relating to our businesses.

• Developing and maintaining the entire DevOps pipelines.
• Coordinate with the stakeholders from requirements gathering until successful implementation DevOps pipeline on boarding.
