Job Requirements

· Candidate must possess a Diploma in Engineering or Business Admin with at least 5 year(s) of relevant experience in Marine/ Shipyard.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Words and Powerpoint, etc.)

As a Senior Manager, Technical Solutions, you will be responsible for developing and managing technical solutions in Data Centre Engineering projects from inception to completion, developing pre-sales solutions by coordinating closely with the Commercial team and/or wider KDCH teams, and working with various investment stakeholders to assess feasibility of Pre-deals. You will work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the job responsibilities are completed with a viable technical and budget proposals within time limits. You will coordinate with the Project Management team and provide Project Management inputs and considerations across your job responsibilities. You may be expected to travel for work to support your projects and customers when required.

• To be familiar with the design and construction of Data Centres, and working with knowledge of all technical disciplines, typical customer requirements and standard Basis of Design
• As the Mechanical Specialist of DC&N Technical Solutions team, to be responsible for constant review and update to the Basis of Design
• Execute the technical qualification, planning and development of technical solution for prospective deals as the Technical Solutions Head of Department shall direct. Manage and generate technical solution, project cost and planning structure for prospective deal engagements and investment approval
• Provide project scheduling and construction process assessment for all technical solutions, pre-projects, pre-deals and pre-sales solution, and perform necessary organization and handover documentations to the Project team for delivery, and provide necessary support and follow up where required
• Coordinate and obtain inputs from Technical Solutions, Project Management, Operations, Consultants, Contractors and vendors etc. to develop a viable Technical Solutions, Pre-Sales Solutions or Pre-Deal responses to various relevant stakeholders
• Work with Asset Owners, Sales and Commercial, Asset Management, and Investments Teams to determine the Project budget proposal with adjustments to the Overall Project Budget and Investments Returns, while ensuring coordination with the Project Construction Costs and Design
• Obtain proposals, select, and appoint consultants to develop design and cost estimate. Thereafter, manage selected consultant team for awarded scope of works
• Engagement with Statutory Authorities and Safety Matters
• Support project team to execute projects’ quotation and/or tendering process for the various packages such as project consultancy, contractors, nominated sub-contractors, vendors, suppliers, etc in accordance with the inputs provided during the various technical solutions, pre-sales and pre-deal phases of work
• Organize and conduct regular separate and/or combined meetings with Clients, Asset Owners, appointed consultant, contractors, vendors, etc to address all technical related matters during pre-project and during engineering project execution
• Technical Solutions management and track progress of solutions development and project cost against the approved schedule during pre-project investment approval and design phases
• Technical solutions report including solution development and its corresponding risks and mitigation, compliance to the Customer and/or industry standards, project cost estimation and its corresponding validation and risks, etc. for investment approval
• Technical solutions and Pre-Sales support to project team during project execution
• Work closely with Client, Asset Owner and Operation team on any technical issues arising from pre-project stage, project execution stage and support the project team for timely handover to Client, Asset Owner and Operation team respectively
• Any other scopes as directed by the Technical Solutions Head of Department

Job Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Data Centre or equivalent design and construction work etc
• Good knowledge of variable design standards, including BICSI, TIA, Uptime Institute Tier Standard, etc
• Ability carry out technical solution discussions effectively with multi-function teams
• Good problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills with high resilience and drive in achieving objectives and goals. High desire for innovation and learning
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
• Relevant experience in a multi-cultural work environment fostering a climate of teamwork and collaboration

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Technical Service Manager focuses foremost on supporting customers (expectation approx. 75% of time). The function, together with Sales, initiates and executes Initiatives and Projects with customers that deliver on contribution targets within the current FY and prioritizes those projects to deliver sales 2 – 3 years beyond the current FY. Technical Service is therefore, together with Sales, the execution arm of Oil Additives (OA) for contribution margin achievement.
• Is pivotal player in increasing business development through technical marketing and strengthening technical contacts with target accounts.
• Together with Sales Manager, establishes and develops deep connections / relations to key functions & persons at customers, enabling high level, strategic management partnerships between Evonik and the customer. The role understands competitive challenges, specifically competitor’s technology and value proposition.
• Together with Marketing, articulates the value drivers for areas of application at specific Customers / Markets and translates these into Initiatives / Projects (e.g. to generate technical marketing data considering local needs).
• Executes the technical aspects of the Project to achieve the Project goal, both within OA's functional groups (TS, R&D, etc.) and at customers / 3rd parties. Has full technical responsible for formulation modification projects and liaises with Innovation as follows: initiates “smaller” polymer modification projects, interfaces with Perf Test Lab for test results on formulations, acts as key stakeholder in major R&D initiatives and projects. Interacts with Innovation to translate the technical performance of the product (in terms of Tribology, performance testing, viscometrics) into a value-based solution for the customer.
• Together with Sales, executes the commercial realization of new products / services (either from Evonik R&D, 3rd parties, or jointly via collaboration with customers).
• Supports manufacturing for quality issues that impact product specifications or performance, raw material substitutions, customer requested changes, etc.; consults with production and sales on technical customer complaints
• Possesses detailed application expertise on Evonik’s products / services for individual market segments, and an awareness of development projects and initiatives with OEMS (that impact on existing / market base) – the role understands and articulates current and future trends at existing customers / markets, and effectively communicates this within OA.
• Educates OA / customers / markets on OA technologies for areas of application, is involved with industry committees in which direct customers are involved, awareness on IP landscape on formulations and applications and protects / generates IP applicable for OA , and collaborates with Universities / 3rd parties on Tribology application research linked to existing customers / markets (and translates this back to customer specific Initiatives / Projects).
• Strengthen technical contacts to key regional accounts & target OEM’s.
• Participate in technical discussion with OEM customers by understanding their requirements from product development.
• Initiate lab projects / blend studies to recommend suitable products to improve formulations for customers.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering with 6 to 8 years of experience in technical service
• Effective user of IT tools and techniques for organizing the working environment and oneself
• Excellent IT-capabilities (Microsoft Office, SAP, etc.)
• Ability to function within varied cultural groups

Job Descriptions:

a. Carry out instructional and course development duties in an approved Part-147 Maintenance Training Organization environment

b. Develop questions for examination banks for which he/she is qualified.

c. Undertake duties of other authorised appointments - Examiners, Assessors and Invigilators.

d. Comply with regulatory (eg. Part-147, Part-66) and in-house procedural requirements.

e. Ensure that all equipment is in working condition prior to the start of class.

f. Maintain proper conduct and discipline of the class.

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

a. Category B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence with minimum 5 years working experience in Line/ Base Maintenance

b. Technical Training Instructor Authorisation with minimum 3 years’ experience in conducting CAAS/ EASA Basic Knowledge Modules training; Aircraft General Familiarisation training and/or Aircraft Type training is preferred

c. Good working knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office applications including MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint

d. Team-player who can also work independently with minimum supervision

Job Scope:

• Support Teaching and Learning – Provides technical assistance to teachers (if required) during lessons on issues related to projectors or sound system in classrooms, lecture theatres, computer labs and seminar rooms.

• Supports school Events – Prepares, sets up, positions, connects and configures audio visual (AV) equipment for “live” audience and/or smiltaneous broadcast to staff and students across the school.

• Equipment fault diagnosis/maintenance – Maintains and troubleshoots faulty AV equipment.

• Preventive Maintenance - Performs routine preventive check on AV equipment.

• Asset Management – Perform routine inventory check of AV equipment in preparastion for internal and external audit checks.

• School facilities management – supports school in the managing of contractors in carrying out periodic facilities maintenance.

• Supports the school during school-wide events and examinations.

• Coaches FSV Society members in operating AV equipment.

• Nitec, or its equivalent, or higher, in audio and video specializations and with at least 1 year of experience in the similar field or professions.
