Responsibilities

Sample Preparation

• Receive and label all samples brought into the lab for accountability.
• Prepare samples from drying, crushing, splitting and pulverising.
• Mix fluxing reagents and load samples in furnace for the fire assay.
• Mix reagents for acid digestions.
• Perform fire assay techniques such as fluxing, fusing and cupellation of samples in correct numerical order.
• Perform smelting and sample extraction of precious metals as and when required

Recovery of Precious Metals such as Gold and Silver via Fire Assay techniques

• Assist with the recovery of precious metals such as Gold and Silver using Fire Assay techniques.

Measurement & Calibration

• Monitor analytical processes and take remedial action where deviations / discrepancies arise impacting on the quality of analytical results.

Perform Laboratory Data Analysis and Reporting

• Testing of precious metals scraps through cupellation method (fire assaying).
• Evaluate, validate, ensure and report technical accuracy of reporting analytical results
• Monitor analytical processes and take remedial actions where deviations / discrepancies arise impacting the quality of analytical results.
• Re-analyse analysis samples when control results are not within the acceptable range.

Quality Control

• Inspect samples, fusions, lead buttons and prills to ensure the assaying method is correct.
• Maintain records and accountability of materials (samples and standards) and equipment used.

Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Report any apparatus or equipment which, to your knowledge, is not functioning correctly to the Lab manager.
• Assist in the procurement and placement of all consumables, equipment and fixtures.
• Assist in the general / preventive maintenance of equipment and housekeeping of the laboratory.

• Perform starts up and shuts down according to Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions or Checklists.
• Monitor and control process variables via DCS (towers, reactors, driers, compressors, etc) to maintain quality & plant in steady & efficient condition.
• Respond to process alarms, process upsets or abnormal process conditions according to established practices and procedures in order to begin or cease production as advised by Supervisor or Engineers.

Job Description

· Operate high-end automated printing machine for quality output and timely delivery

· Run the printing press according to production plan

· Examines printed results for ink density, accuracy of design and registration conforming to required artwork

· Perform first level analysis and optimize the set-up between the printed sheets

· Conduct periodic autonomous preventive maintenance as scheduled

· Manage daily housekeeping

Job Scope:

The successful candidates will be involved in the operations of the assigned process plant units involving work in the field and at the control panel:

• Perform field patrolling to monitor site conditions and take corrective actions to ensure safe and smooth plant operations
• Perform frontline trouble-shooting to address deviations, improve plant reliability & process safety
• Prepare equipment for maintenance and re-commissioning activities
• Ensure safe and smooth operation of plant facilities, such as exchangers, rotating equipments etc

Requirements:

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Process Technology, OR
• Nitec / Higher Nitec in Chemical Process Technology, OR
• GCE ’O’ Level with credits in Physics or Chemistry, and Mathematics
• Must be prepared to work on 3 rotating shifts

Technical coordinators provide basic administrative and light tech support services to assist with a project or the operation of a department. They often handle routine paperwork, data entry, preparing and processing of documents, and responding to general requests for information. They also assist with the creation of spec sheets, promotional collateral, and other materials. They may assist with billing, inventory, and logistical tasks, as well, and often relay information and materials between departments or individuals.

Key Accountabilities:

• Undertake the assignments on one's own such as commissioning, installation, maintenance, trouble-shooting and repair/overhaul for MTU engines and associated product
• Capable of resolving technical matters and completing services according to the works order for acceptance by the customers.
• Conduct acceptance test of equipment and systems with customers or customer representatives.
• Carry out repair/adjustment if required.
• Provide service/investigation reports where applicable.
• Prepare and submit travel report on work progress as well as completion of project.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
• At least 2 – 3 years of experience in the diesel engine/generator industry.
• Experience in troubleshooting, project handling/execution, servicing and commissioning.
• Communicates effectively, has a strong initiative and ability to work under pressure.
• Possess logical and analytical skills
• Highly independent, and an excellent team player.
