As our Laser Production Technician, you will have the responsibility to manufacture, test and troubleshoot laser products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and test of lasers, laser sub-assemblies and laser components against documented specifications.
• Fiber handling, splicing, routing, pig-tailing, operating laser diodes, diodes replacement.
• Perform fiber-based assemblies and rework laser diode issues.
• Testing of fiber-based assembly and optical alignment to specification.
• Ability to build and debug simple fiber assemblies and sub-assemblies’ issues.
• Experience with splicing optical fibers and optical/lens/mirrors alignment is an asset.
• Understand and follow work instructions and procedures.
• Incorporate optical, mechanical, and electrical sub-assemblies into systems unit with test.
• Ability to perform optical alignment of laser outputs utilizing beam expanders, lenses and mirrors to achieve desired system specifications. Verify laser beam quality using energy power meter, burn paper, electrical multi-meter, and vision system analysis.
• Install and align optical, mechanical, and optical sub-assemblies into systems using precision instruments.
• Troubleshoot test failures and ability to rework component failure by replacing bad parts.
• Follow and execute a build plan to meet 100% OTD (on-time-delivery).

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.

1. Oversee functions and activities of daily facility management (including the safe and efficient functioning, maintenance, servicing and operation of facility/equipment/machinery and systems).

2. Conduct facility/equipment inspections, facility/equipment system data collection/analysis, carry out risk assessments, implement necessary mitigation measures, and inform the operations team in time if the system is not optimal.

3. Maintain necessary maintenance policies including preventive maintenance program of the facility and its systems and facility-embedded equipment such as autoclaves, fire suppression system, steam generator, pest control, security services and systems, Building Management System (BMS), gas cylinders/pipelines, ACMV/HVAC, chillers, UPS, generator, etc.

4. Respond appropriately to emergencies (utility breakdown/fire/security breaching) as they arise, participate in 24-hour emergency response activities.

5. Manage new production line and machinery set up and/or upgrading work to existing production line.

6. To carry out the maintenance schedule outlined in the HACCP manual.

7. To maintain the machinery storage area and machinery not in use.

8. To observe hygiene condition of the premises at all time.

9. To observe safety and health procedures as well as security measures are all times.

10. Any other work shall be assigned by the Senior Engineer from time to time.

11. Able to work independently.
