IT Engineer (6 months contract)

Job Title: IT Engineer

Work Location: Downtown, Singapore

Job Type: 6 months contract, subject to extension

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Laptop Setup & Deployment:

· Configure and deploy laptops per company standards.

· Install operating systems, software, and updates.

· Ensure network connectivity and peripheral setup.

· Provide user training and support.

2. Secure Wipe of Laptops:

· Perform secure data wiping using approved methods.

· Maintain records of wiping process for compliance.

3. Inventory Update and Maintenance:

· Maintain accurate laptop inventory records.

· Coordinate with procurement for asset tracking.

· Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.

4. Any other duties as required by the company.

Job Requirements:

1. NITEC or Diploma in IT or related qualification.

2. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.

3. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

· Perform design, testing and commissioning of Integrated Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition System ( ISCS ) for MRT projects in one or

more of the following areas:

- SCADA for Power, Environment Control and Fire Protection Systems

- ISCS applications for Radio, CCTV, PA, STIS, ATS, Trains, etc.

· Prepare Equipment Cabinet Design document

· Prepare Equipment Cabinet Integration Manufacturing document

· Supervise Equipment cabinet manufacturing activities

· Responsible for integration of both hardware & software work as well as implementation

· Prepare project documentation including design, test plans/procedures, O&M / training manuals, etc.

· Manage interfaces and co-ordination with external system suppliers and client

Requirements:

· Diploma/Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering

· Excellent working knowledge of SCADA software package on Unix/Linux and Windows platforms

· Experience in working with PLC / RTU and SCADA software package

· Knowledge in operating systems such as Windows, Solaris/Linux, HW interfaces, interface protocol design (TCP/IP, RS422, etc) will be an advantage

Responsible for project management including attending meetings, coordination, design, procurement, tender participation etc. 

Respopnsible for site activities, coordination and supervision works related to engineering and systems design. 

Work with external parties and customers to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with assigned projects. 

Develop project schedules in compliance with customer requirements, deadlines and/or milestones; develop mechanisms to track schedule progress in the field; and update the schedule regularly. 

Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, department design standards and specifications. 

Requirements and skill 

Minimum degree :

in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering field. 

At least 4 years of proven working experience as a Project Engineer or 8 years and above as a Senior Project Engineer in gas piping installation field. 

Excellent knowledge of visualizations software such as AutoCAD. 

Advanced MS Office skills. 

Good knowledge in basic piping design and P&ID

Responsibilities

· Responsible for the service management in the maintenance services

· Prepare and maintain project execution plans, and track all activities against the plan, providing regular and accurate reports to internal management and customer management

· Deliver quality outputs based on defined processes, review project performance and take timely corrective actions where necessary to ensure that project performance targets are achieved; identify and mitigate risks before they seriously impact the project delivery

· Monitor and control allocated manpower, associated revenue costs and all capital costs against the project budget

· Provide effective leadership to the project teams and ensuring that the team members are motivated, and developing their technical competencies and knowledge base

· Participate in client / partner contract negotiations and pre-sales solutioning support to sales team

· Manage a team and ensure SLA are fulfill

Requirements

· Degree in IT / Engineering, or diploma with years of experience equivalent

· At least 5 years of experience in managing large-scale system and engineering integration projects and cross-functional delivery teams

· Experience in turn-key development, implementation and maintenance of large-scale, multi-platform, multi-vendor systems in the IT and engineering domain

· Large-scale program management of multi-service line teams, including strong project management and communications skills, service delivery, client relations, planning, scheduling, budgeting, financial management, resource management, quality assurance and situational negotiations

· Proven track record in managing multi-million dollar projects in the government and/or commercial sectors

· Proven record of successful staff management in the area of leadership, staff motivation, performance appraisal, professional development and recruitment

· “Hands-on” attitude

· Good presentation skills, communication, negotiation, interpersonal skills and customer-service orientation

· Knowledge of Voice switching system will be a plus

· Professional project management certification (e.g.. PMP, ITIL, etc.) is preferred

· Preferably with Class 3 driving license
