As a Senior Systems Engineer (Network), you will be working as a consultant responsible in providing network project implementation, post-sales consultancy and network maintenance support, particularly in the area of network architectures (LAN, Data Centre and WAN). You will also be involved in hands-on operations in network maintenance.

What will you do?

• Progressively, you will own technical design in implementation of technical solutions. Ensuring quality technical solutions and drive towards the highest levels of customer satisfaction and improvement in professional standards.
• Manage/implement network infrastructure projects covering in area of Telecom Networks (LAN & WAN) and security system.
• Manage/implement, by project basis, working with project team members in implementing and delivering projects till commissioning.
• Assist Project Manager in various aspects of project implementation, including network design, site preparation, risks identification and mitigation
• Responsible for delivery of assigned tasks within the delivery cycle of a project.
• Tasks include performing network/systems configurations, troubleshooting errors/problems, monitoring and/or testing systems performance, and contribute to the design of technical solutions for customer environments adherence to scope of work.
• Proactively provides solutions to prevent problems from occurring and/or to provide resolution for technical issues.
• Liaising with external vendor and user environments within project cycle
• Gather business and/or application requirements on the infrastructure to plan, design, install, test & implement systems in accordance with the specifications & service level.
• Aligned or enhanced ITSM/ITIL methodologies in daily operations e.g. Change, Incident, problem, release management & CMDB.
• Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & service level availability.
• Respond promptly to incident, root cause analysis & provide temporary and/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.
• Implement service continuity measures, i.e., backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuous operation of the business.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
• Assist in preparation of proposals and solution presentations.
• Evaluates internal & external business environment to develop long-term strategy for the unit/organization
• Applies business & financial knowledge to address business issues & drive the business.
• Establishes & promotes effective business operations across multiple countries &/or regions & coordinates appropriately with the broader global business
• Attain key certifications for partnership with key vendors.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Diploma/ Degree in IT-related discipline
• 3 – 5 years of hands-on experience
• Experienced in implementing and administrating network devices such as Switches, Routers, Firewalls.
• Experienced in implementing and administrating advanced network routing protocols such as BGP, MP-BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, network Security.
• Experienced and knowledgeable in implementing MPLS L3VPN, L2VPN, EVPN, Segment routing etc.
• Experience implementing advanced switching technology including DC Fabric, Fabric path, MC-Lag, VPC, VXLAN etc.
• Experienced in Administration and troubleshooting in network environment.
• Exposure of protocol analysis tools used to troubleshoot layer 2 & 3 issues Technical Support for critical situations.
• Exposure with carrier-grade network equipment (Cisco ASR9K, NCS5500, N9K, Huawei NE5000E, NE40E, Juniper MX2000, MX960 etc) will be added advantage.
• Able to work as a team member and Independent and should be self-motivated and highly customer focused.
• Certifications such as CCIE/HCIE/CCNP and other relevant IT industry certificates will be preferred.
• Good understanding of Internet routing protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, OSFP, BGP, MPLS/VPN, Segment routing, EVPN.
• Good understanding of Network Automation, Python, Ansible will be preferred.
• Knowledge of routers/switches architecture and software upgrade procedure
• Possess good analytical and trouble-shooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification
• Possess good working knowledge in multiple vendor equipment like Cisco, Juniper, Huawei router.

Job Purpose

The Installation Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the installation phase of CCTV projects, ensuring that installations are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project specifications and industry standards. The incumbent will also coordinate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are met.

Responsibilities

Project Planning:

• Collaborate with Installation Manager to review project requirements and develop installation plans.
• Assist Installation Manager to create installation schedules, allocate resources, and set milestones.

Supervision:

• Manage and supervise installation teams, including technicians and subcontractors.
• Provide guidance, direction, and support to ensure efficient and high-quality installations.

Site Management:

• Act as the overall in charge of site installation works.
• Assist Installation Manager on day-to-day management of site including work planning & scheduling, monitoring of progress of work.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that CCTV installations adhere to design specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct on-site inspections to verify work quality and compliance.
• Responsible for on-site quality plan implementation.

Safety Compliance:

• Promote a safe working environment and enforce safety protocols.
• Responsible for on-site environmental, health & safety plan implementation.

Client Interaction:

• Communicate with clients to schedule installations and address any installation-related inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain positive client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Problem Solving:

• Identify and address technical and logistical challenges during installations.
• Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of installation activities (includes work logs, equipment used, and any changes made during installation) and all ELARD drawings.
• Prepare installation method statements and risk assessments for the CCTV replacement activities.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering with minimum 3 years related field of experience, or Diploma in Electronic / Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years related field of experience.
• Proven experience in managing and supervising projects.
• Experience in the railway industry will be an added advantage.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the various tests applied to products for optimum test coverage in meeting customer & product specifications. Performs top defects failure analysis, test yield improvement, 1st article approvals, ECN changes, calibration of equipment and maintenance/updating of test procedure documentation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish testing strategies, flow and procedures to ensure smooth, effective and efficient running of production.

• Perform test capacity planning to ensure testers' capacities are maximized and sufficient.

• Constantly improve test yield via CIP/RMA activities.

• Generate, update, review and maintain the Venture Standard Operating Procedure.

• Lead a group of Test Engineering Assistants / Technicians & ensure compliance to quality standards, company guidelines and procedures, to whilst providing necessary support to production.

• Validate and maintain test equipment in good condition and maintain a master list of test equipment in the production to ensure the most current revisions are implemented on the line.

• Review and evaluate 1st article samples before submitting to customers (if applicable).

• Participate in product transfer activities & NPI support.

• Generate and validate test reports prior to publication.

• Maintain minimum debug WIP through test yield improvements & resource management.

• Liaise with customers on product related issues for improvements - NPI and existing products.

• Constantly looking into better test efficiencies and better test coverage to achieve 1st class quality at minimum cost.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company.

• Participate in cost Saving measures and LEAN initiative.

AUTHORITY

• Participate in MRB disposition of parts and problem solving.

• Recommend test equipment, test fixtures and improve test program to ensure products meet the required quality and achieve high efficiencies. Implement changes according to ECN.

• Remove measuring/test equipment from production line that are out of calibration.

• Review calibration report prior to release or for necessary disposition if deemed unfit for use .

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or its equivalent preferred, with 2-3 years relevant experience in a highly competitive product manufacturing environment.
