Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Central Logistics and Warehouse Manager to oversee and optimize our logistics and warehouse operations within the dynamic marine industry and wind farm sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong background in logistics, supply chain management, and warehouse operations, combined with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of the offshore sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive logistics strategies that align with the company's objectives and support efficient operations. Ensure effective execution of full logistics scope transport planning for on-site/ on-deck deliveries /collections.
- Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with suppliers, port agencies, and partners to ensure timely, safe, and effective deployment of materials, spare parts, and equipment required for operations.
- Import/Export Control: Specializing in import-export operations including controlled equipment, you will be entrusted with overseeing the intricate and regulated movement of Fugro equipment across international borders. Your expertise will ensure compliance with relevant regulations including permits, import/export regulations and tax implication, and the safe transportation of controlled items/ equipment.
- Warehouse Operations: Manage day-to-day warehouse activities, including inventory management, storage optimization, and order fulfillment, to ensure smooth safe, and efficient operations, play a pivotal role in the implementation of the 5S methodology. Your expertise in applying these principles will be critical to maintaining a high standard of excellence within our warehouses located in Asia.
- Inventory Control: Implement inventory control measures to minimize stock discrepancies, manage inventory turnover, and ensure accurate record-keeping in compliance with industry standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of logistics and warehouse professionals, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
- Proper lifting equipment handling, and maintenance protect staff and help minimize downtime.
- Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities to streamline logistics processes, reduce lead times, and enhance overall operational efficiency within the business lines.
- Quality and Safety: Work with QHSSE, Project stakeholders to ensure adherence to industry regulations, Fugro safety standards/policies, and quality assurance protocols in all logistics and warehouse activities, contributing to a safe and compliant work environment onshore and offshore, ensuring the safe operation of lifting equipment to prevent accidents, injuries, and fatalities.
- Data Analysis, setting goals, and Reporting: Utilize data-driven insights to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), develop strategies & roadmap, evaluate logistics and warehouse performance, and present regular reports to senior management.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with cross-functional teams, Service Lines, Operations, Fleet Services team, and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Budget Management: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and manage logistics budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience of 8-10 years in logistics and warehouse management, with a focus on shipping/ project logistics, geotechnical engineering offshore wind or EPCI Offshore logistics.
- In-depth knowledge of marine industry logistics practices, regulations, and challenges.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of effectively managing teams, motivating the staff, and driving performance.
- Possess excellent and impressive communication abilities and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational/supply chain issues.
- Track record in leading and coaching a team of logistics professionals, including supervisors, coordinators, and logistics/warehouse personnel.
- Experience in fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Others
- Travels within Asia are expected to manage and overseas project logistics, mobilization and demob of equipment from the vessels.
- Team player with strong leadership and willingness to develop others; able to handle conflicts.
- Planning and analytical skills with experience in relevant techniques and software application, strong problem-solving skills
- High focus on project quality and HSE performance, experience in risk assessment techniques and exercise
- Prepared to work long hours and/or during odd hours as and when required.
