Job Description

The Web Developer will be responsible for the maintenance and management of the School of Public Health website, the school’s respective research centres’ subsites/ microsites, as well as being the technical liaison to the school’s IT team as well as central NUS IT team.

About this Role:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Content assessment, editing and stringent quality checks/preparation of programmes for telecast in a digital work environment in accordance with the respective compliance Codes and SOPs.
• View and package programmes for Code compliance for broadcast on Channel 5 and meWATCH.
• Perform QC checks, enter Media-logger (SOM/EOM) details and TXR programmes for broadcast.
• Liaise with the Technical Support team and resolve issues with the Dalet and craft editing systems.
• Perform complex edits on the craft editing system (Adobe).
• Ensure strict adherence to the standard operating procedures for a consistently high-quality output in all aspects

About the Role

We are seeking a talented, driven and digitally-savvy supervisor to join the ST Now desk, to guide a team of reporters in creating compelling content for both our digital and print platforms. The team handles breaking and trending news, both locally and globally.

The ideal candidate should have at least 8-10 years in journalism and experience in leading a group of reporters, including assigning and editing copy across a wide range of topics, story types and formats. A candidate with prior on-ground reporting experience is preferred.

• Identify critical news developments and trending stories that are relevant to ST’s audience. You will quite often be required to make quick, sound editorial decisions
