About the Role
Features Editor (Her World)
HER WORLD, Singapore’s No. 1 women’s magazine, is looking for a highly resourceful and creative individual to join the team as Features Editor.
Roles & Responsibilities
You will lead and manage a team of writers to produce impactful feature stories on women’s issues and lifestyle trends, ensuring that the stories are current, informative and engaging on all multi-media platforms including print, digital, social media, video/audio, etc.
Your responsibilities would include:
- Generating story ideas and brainstorming angles with writers
- Commissioning stories to in-house writers and freelance contributors
- Copy editing and re-writing stories
- Managing the deadlines of the writers and ensure that stories are submitted on time
- Manage the production of shoots and videos, from concept to distribution on various platforms
- Being involved in and/or overseeing key Her World initiatives and programmes
Who we are looking for
- You must have at least 4 years of journalism experience, preferably covering women’s issues and/or lifestyle trends
- Excellent writing skills with an appealing voice and strong command of the English language are prerequisites.
- You must have an enquiring mind, be well read and well informed on social issues, trends and development in Singapore and beyond
- You must have digital experience, with a demonstrated knowledge of SEO and familiarity optimising social media platforms
- Good supervisory skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels are essential
