Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Possess a minimum of five years of documented experience in field application service within Asia, specifically in mechanical engineering, focusing on rotating machines commonly found in various industries such as pumps, fans, motors, generators, compressors, turbines, etc.
- Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, including travel across Asia and APAC regions as a single engineer, collaborating closely with distributors to provide technical expertise to their customers. This includes attending conferences and other relevant events with distributors, guiding and supervising activities, with access to remote support.
- Ideal candidates should have fundamental experience in machine shaft alignment, preferably with proficiency in techniques such as dial-gauge or Laser Alignment.
- Additionally, flexibility to travel for scheduled business trips is required to excel in this role.
Main responsibilities:
- Recommend products and offer technical support, collaborating with area sales teams.
- Partner closely with area sales management to meet pre-sales support requirements and develop solutions for project bids, addressing end-customers' needs through the APAC sales distributor network.
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive sales, expand the customer base, and enhance efficiency, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Drive, coordinate, and communicate application and product concerns to relevant departments at HQ and external parties as necessary.
- Act as the primary technical support resource for measurement applications within the APAC sales network.
- Train, mentor, and advise distributor teams and customers across the APAC region on the use of our tools and technical integration solutions.
- Collaborate with our global Sales and R&D teams on new product development and launches.
