Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and leadership to the Finance team on:
Preparation of full set accounts for all SG entities, and relevant management reporting to HO. - Regular payments to vendors and checking of staff reimbursements.
- Finance operational related matters, e.g. bank reconciliation, settlement with upstream brokers, daily client money segregation, etc.
- Corporate tax and GST matters, including, computation and reporting.
- Daily monitoring to ensure compliance with MAS financial requirements (Risk Based Capital and margin requirements/threshold).
- MAS filing (Form 1,2,3,7,8,9 + QIE + monthly broker exposure).
- Annual CRS tax filing to the SG IRAS and annual 1042 tax filing to the US IRS.
- Budgeting forecast and capital projections, and manage liquidity risk of the SG broker-dealer entity.
- Ad‑hoc queries from internal stakeholders, counterparties, banks and custodians.
- Create (when needed) and improve on current operational processes for all areas relating to finance and finance operations.
- Partake in the implementation of projects and new systems.
- Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred but not necessary, plus 10+ years of progressively responsible finance or accounting experience.
- Experience with leading a Finance team.
- Experience in the financial industry would be highly advantageous.
- Preferably candidates come from securities background or related FS business lines
- Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Consolidation experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and standard accounting software packages.
- Ability to speak, read and write Chinese is highly favourable as this role would require you to liaise with counterparts based in China.
- Multi-tasker; capable of working on multiple projects at one time, often under pressure.
- Awareness of administrative and financial regulations and how to apply them to daily workflows.
