The Certified Accountant will be responsible for managing all financial and accounting operations for the holding company and its subsidiaries. This includes ensuring compliance with financial regulations, preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the financial accounting and reporting activities.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and recommendations.
- Manage tax compliance, including corporate tax, GST, and other relevant taxes.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external tax advisors.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and business decisions.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Provide financial guidance and support to subsidiary companies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is required.
- 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a holding company or corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of SFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with financial management of multiple subsidiaries.
- Strong understanding of Singapore’s corporate tax and GST regulations.
