Job Description:
Demand Forecasting & Inventory Management:
- Utilize historical data, statistical methods, and forecast algorithms to predict future sales and product demands. Understand and identify demand drivers and their impacts on demand forecasting.
- Manage demand planning aspects of new product introductions, including initial forecasting, tracking early sales, and adjusting forecasts based on early market signals.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team in HQ to ensure that inventory levels are optimized across the supply chain to meet forecasted demand while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Communicate replenishment schedule or out of stock situation to the brand team.
- Regularly analyze data for trends and patterns and provide detailed reports on findings. Utilize advanced analytics tools to refine forecasting methodologies
- Be an active participant in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to ensure demand plans align with financial and operational strategies.
- Monitor key performance indicators relating to demand planning accuracy and inventory levels, taking corrective action where necessary.
Collaboration with Stakeholders
- Work closely with sales, marketing, product development, and operations to gather insights and information that may affect demand forecasting.
Process Improvement
- Continuously seek to improve demand planning processes through technology advancements, process re-engineering, and best practice benchmarking.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in demand planning, supply chain management, or a related field
- 1-2 years of demand planning or related field experience
- Fresh graduates are welcome.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Basic Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work in both a highly collaborative team environment and independently execute the completion of projects
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and extract meaningful insights.
- Keen interest & knowledge of retail environments and trends
- A confident self-starter with a high level of drive, energy, integrity and professionalism
- Willing to learn and has a positive attitude
- Able to prioritize and meet deadlines, willing to be “hands on” and work beyond contractual work hours when required
- Able to work autonomously and be a dedicated team player in a fast paced and dynamic environment
