Responsibilities
- Enhance business performance of subsidiaries and affiliates in Indonesia and expand overall business and each line of business by working closely with stakeholders to gather and provide insightful analysis, develop and propose solutions to capture business opportunities.
- Keep abreast of local competitive landscapes and developments in banking markets (Wholesale, SME or Retail) and formulate strategies to enhance market positioning of the businesses.
- Implement strategies and initiatives supported by a good understanding of banking products, business processes and operations to support business growth.
- Seek collaboration opportunities across SMBC Group to enhance the business value proposition of the business in local markets and materialize business synergies.
- Set business key performance indicators to drive growth in accordance to SMBC Group’s mid-term strategies and monitor business performance through assessment of local management reports.
- Report to internal stakeholders in a timely manner in accordance to Head Office and Regional Office requirements.
- Collaborate with relevant departments in Head Office and Regional Office to efficiently enhance business and governance for AGMD controlling entities.
Requirements
- Bachelors’ degree with minimum 7 years of work experience in the banking industry.
Experience in business management and performance management is preferable. - Experience in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) will be advantageous.
- Possess sound commercial sense in understanding business considerations with a keen interest in enhancing business value propositions.
- Time management with the ability to process multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail and timeliness.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities (verbal and written) including presentation skills, effective cross-cultural communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong collaboration and team playing abilities, with an ability to work with cross-functional teams across different countries while possessing the ability to work independently.
- Proactive with adaptability to change, and ability to implement innovative and value-adding solutions.
- Possess quantitative analytical, project management and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Power Point and Excel).
