Project Coordinator, Social Enterprise

JOB PURPOSE


As a key member of the Singapore Red Cross' Resource Development Department, you will join the Social Enterprise Team to drive the concept, development, and operations of the Red Cross Shops at Red Cross House and Red Cross Training Camp (Campsite). Your role will evolve to include managing day-to-day operations and business activities, developing marketing and partnerships, and mobilizing and deploying volunteers.


Job Responsibilities


Operations & Marketing

  • Oversee inventory management and operations of the Red Cross Shop.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Red Cross Shop by implementing business ideas and securing and increasing corporate donors.
  • Implement seasonal sales, pop-up sales events, and bazaars to attract existing customers, draw new customers, and increase foot traffic.
  • Execute marketing efforts for the Red Cross Shop, including publicizing stock and location, and recognizing corporate, group, and individual fundraisers.
  • Maintain and update the Red Cross Shop protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with financial and administrative requirements in processing sales for the Red Cross Shop.

Volunteer Management & Mobilization

  • Plan and coordinate volunteer schedules and engagement activities.
  • Collaborate closely with volunteers to manage the Red Cross Shop and ensure accountability.
  • Organize training sessions to equip and mobilize volunteers for key roles and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with the Admin/Operations Team and the Volunteer Management Department for logistical and volunteer support.

Donor-in-kind Management

  • Source in-kind donations from new and existing donors as well as the general public.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donor partners, ensuring all collections are completed promptly and on schedule.
  • Manage the collection and issuance of donated items, including documentation, recording, and safe-keeping.

Job Specifications


Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Business, Social Enterprises, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in the retail sector or social enterprises is preferred.
  • Additional skills and knowledge are a plus.

Additional Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to and work well with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Independent, team-oriented, resourceful, meticulous, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Class 3 or 3A driving license (optional).

Requirements

  • Able to work retail hour shifts.
  • Willing to work weekends and public holidays as needed.
