Job Title: Project Manager – Agile Practices
Job Overview: The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all activities in a project life-cycle (initiation planning, executing/controlling, and closing) associated with projects that are long-term, line of business wide and medium to high in risk, scope, and complexity.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead and manage projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and manage project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- 3-4 years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects.
- 3-4 years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment.
- 1 year of experience with Agile methodologies.
- Certified Project Manager (CPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent.
Skills:
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
- Proven ability to lead software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met.
- Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools: Agile Project Management tools such as Jira/Greenhopper, Rally, VersionOne or equivalent; Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office Tools.
