Business Development Manager - Parametric Insurance

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead the promotion and expansion of our client's parametric insurance solutions across the region.This role presents an exciting opportunity to drive business growth by educating and engaging with potential clients, brokers, and industry partners about the benefits and applications of parametric insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute a strategic business development plan to promote and sell parametric insurance products within the region.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including insurance brokers, corporate clients, government entities, and industry associations.
  • Educate potential clients on the unique features and advantages of parametric insurance, emphasizing its ability to provide rapid and transparent coverage for specific risks.
  • Lead negotiations and manage the sales process from initial contact through to closing deals, ensuring smooth implementation and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and risks for business development.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales activities, pipeline status, and market feedback to management.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in business development or sales within the insurance industry, with specific experience in promoting innovative insurance solutions such as parametric insurance.
  • Deep understanding of the insurance market in the region, including key players, market dynamics, and regulatory environment.
  • Strong network and existing relationships with insurance brokers, corporate clients, and relevant industry contacts in the region.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex concepts and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; additional certifications or qualifications in insurance (e.g., ACII) preferred.
