Position Overview:
The Project Manager in Building Facade Construction will be responsible for managing facade projects from planning through execution and closeout. This role requires a thorough understanding of facade systems, project management best practices, and construction processes. The Project Manager will ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with design, engineering, and construction teams to ensure project feasibility.
- Prepare project schedules using project management software and tools.
- Lead and manage project teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and ensure clarity on project objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation and financial tracking.
- Monitor and control project costs to ensure adherence to the approved budget.
- Approve expenditures and negotiate terms with vendors and suppliers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates and address concerns.
- Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and specifications.
- Implement quality control processes and conduct regular inspections.
- Address and resolve any quality issues or defects promptly.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues or deviations from the plan.
- Implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure all contractual obligations are met and resolve any disputes or claims.
- Prepare and manage change orders and contract amendments.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and promote a culture of safety on the job site.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and logs.
- Prepare and submit regular project status reports to senior management.
- Document lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
- Promote the use of innovative construction techniques and materials.
- Encourage continuous improvement within the project team.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in facade construction.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Others or equivalent in construction sector.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on building facades.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale facade projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of facade systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong financial and budgeting acumen.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Additional Information:
- 5.5 working days per week
- Salary: $4,000 to $6,000 (Based on Experience)
- Location: Multiple locations / Island wide Singapore
