Role Summary
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead an offshoring project to India. The selected candidate will manage a team of 2 Transition Managers and oversee the relocation of approximately 200 employees from various departments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in offshoring, negotiation, and relocation, ensuring a seamless transition process.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the offshoring project, ensuring successful transition and relocation of approximately 200 employees.
- Supervise and guide 2 Transition Managers, providing strategic direction and support.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.
- Facilitate negotiations and manage relationships with vendors and partners involved in the offshoring process.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements throughout the project.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Travel between Singapore and India as required to oversee project activities and ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management or relevant fields.
- Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on offshoring and relocation.
- Previous experience in a senior management role, overseeing teams and complex projects.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in offshoring and IT project management.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Extensive experience in leading IT resources and offshoring projects, particularly to India.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale projects and teams in a corporate environment.
- Strong negotiation and relocation skills, with the ability to handle complex transitions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel between Singapore and India as needed.
