We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced New Business Development Director to join our team and drive growth in Singapore.

Job Summary: The New Business Development Director will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the acquisition of new clients a. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in client management and business development, within the market research industry. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of securing new business and managing client accounts to deliver profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Acquisition: Aggressively identify, target, and secure new client logos that our company currently does not work with. Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the client base.
  • Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term relationships. Manage and grow existing accounts by providing exceptional service and strategic insights.
  • Commercial Focus: Embrace a commercially focused role, with a strong emphasis on achieving and exceeding sales targets. Be comfortable with a high-performance, results-driven environment.
  • Strategic Thinking: Develop and implement retention and growth strategies for key clients. Analyse market trends and client feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Sales Presentations and Proposals: Lead the development of compelling sales presentations and proposals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pull in the necessary expertise and deliver customized solutions to clients.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues on impactful projects. Guide cross-functional teams to ensure client objectives are met and insights are delivered effectively.
  • Communication: Provide clear and consistent communication to clients and internal stakeholders. Address client questions, proactively identify and solve business problems, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Provide leadership with timely reports on business forecasts, sales pipelines, deal analysis, and profitability metrics. Use data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and drive growth.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of proven client development experience in the market research industry.
  • Sales Skills: Demonstrated success in acquiring new clients and achieving sales targets. Experience with building networks, prospect qualification, and consultative sales approaches.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial focus with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Ability to drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Analytical Expertise: Ability to turn data into actionable insights and tell compelling stories that address key client business issues.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to manage strategic initiatives and develop retention/growth strategies for clients.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present findings and recommendations to clients effectively.
  • Team Leadership: Experience guiding cross-functional teams and ensuring client objectives are met. Ability to work collaboratively and lead by example.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Location: This position is based in Singapore and requires a strong understanding of the SEA market along with broader APAC too.
