Our client is a leading oil and gas information company, seeking a dynamic and results Sales Director for the Japan and Korea markets. As a Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business opportunities and expanding our presence in these critical markets.
Responsibilities
- Achieving the yearly sales and revenue targets: by identifying, building, and strengthening relationships with prospects, customers, and partners
- Market Expansion: Identify and explore new business opportunities within Japan and Korea markets.
- Client Acquisition: Prospect, target, and secure new clients by conducting market research, identifying potential clients, and actively approaching them
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers in target organizations, including energy companies, government bodies and utilities companies.
- Strategic Planning: Create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy and business development plan to achieve set revenue and market share growth targets.
- Negotiations: Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and close deals effectively, ensuring they align with company objectives.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive developments, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, our Analyst group and finance, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and meet customer requirements.
- Reporting: Provide regular and accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to senior management. Proficient use of CRM tools such as Salesforce.
- Channel partner development: Driving local partnerships in Asia where needed to better serve our customers.
Requirements
- Hunter mentality and track record of new business success in a proactive sales environment
- 6+ years’ experience within a sales or business development role within the energy commodities industry (SaaS Sales a plus) in a solution sales environment
- Strong relationship building and relationship management skills
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written in Japanese or Korean would be advantageous
- Experience using CRM systems, such as Salesforce
