What the role involves:
- Need to manage a team of Sales Supports and Helpdesk, on top of supporting accounts.
- Need to demonstrate leadership skills to the team and to work closely with other team leaders to achieve organisational goals and objectives
- Liaise and coordinate with Yusen global offices/agents with regards to sales-related enquiries and routing orders received.
- Provide in-house support to the Sales Personnel & own accounts on sales quotations, RFIs, SOPs, RFQs and enquiries pertaining to targeted and current accounts
- Need to physically front clients and support existing key accounts on the maintenance and business development.
- Need to take the lead on the escalations and business implementations of the allocated existing clients and organise the needed meetings internally with corresponding business units.
- For accounts supported, need to collaborate with network offices & Tender team to reinforce strategy for tender nominations.
- Follow-up on client quotations and enquiries within stipulated time period.
- Generate weekly/monthly reports for customers, in accordance to their requested format.
- Follow up on clients outstanding payment in terms of escalations, invoice verification issues and handle rate disputes.
- Maintain customer tariffs in server adequately
- Manage FMC filing and rates maintenance for accounts with which we are the Business Owner.
- Arrange credit facility approval for new clients.
- Follow up and arrange triangle shipment billing instructions with respective business units
- Visit customers independently to support their current business needs, with the aim of business retention.
- Take the lead in discussions with client and AFF/OFF members with regards to service recovery, first level of escalations, etc.
- Facilitate on preparation of periodic business reviews.
- Perform other job duties as requested by the Immediate Superior / HOD
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience in freight forwarding/logistic/supply chain industry or related field with leadership role working experience.
- Good Leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Well organized
- Positive attitude and able work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Strong analytical, planning, organizing skills and meticulous.
